Dare to Dream – A Tibette Beginning – Ch 22
Bette let out the breath she had been holding since Tina started to speak.
“Yes.. Tina I just wanted to take care of you the best way that I could. The last thing that I wanted to do was upset you even more in all of this. I’m sorry!”
“Bette I know that.. I really do… I just need you to know that I expect honesty in a relationship… I love you Bette.. I want this to work so badly… I want to have a future together…”
“Oh T.. I love you to.. I promise you… there will be nothing less than complete honesty between us.”
Tina leaned over and took Bette into her arms. They shared a long and loving embrace, and professed their love to one another once again.
Bette broke the embrace.. knowing that she had to tell Tina about the possibility of her pregnancy, and she had to tell her now. Tina sensed the change in Bette.
“Bette baby.. what is it.. what’s the matter?”
“Tina there is something that I have to tell you… I have to be honest with you… T.. I’m sorry for the timing of this… I know that you don’t need anything else on your plate right now. “
“Bette what is it?? You are scaring me!”
“I’m sorry Tina.. I am pretty scared right now myself…. Tina before we met…I had spent the last several months trying to get pregnant…” Tina sat in silence listening intently “About a week before we met I tried another insemination… Tina it is still too soon to know if it worked yet… I may be pregnant.. Tina I know that this is not what you signed up for when you agreed to be with me.. I would understand if…”
Tina couldn’t stand it anymore.. there was no way she could let Bette sit there and think the things that were going through her head.
“Bette.. honey.. please stop…” Tina saw the tears running down Bette’s cheeks onces again and it was breaking her heart. She wiped the tears from Bette’s cheeks as she continued “Bette baby don’t cry… it’s true that I didn’t see a baby in the mix so quickly.. but honey you know I love kids.” Tina paused a moment, there was a question that was burning a hole right through her, she had to ask… she had to know. “Bette.. were you planning on going through it alone?” Tina could only imagine the fear Bette was facing through all this and the strength it must have taken to face it all alone.

It’s a joy to read the story, even if it is sad sometimes.I hope Bette and Tina can come through it together. PPS

WOW!!! This story is so wonderful!!! I just caught up!!! Glad B&T talked to each other. Thank you PPS
Good to see there are some good news and B&T are ok!
I’m glad the whole possible pregnancy thing is finally in the open. It’s great to see Tina so supportive. Just like Bette’s dream. This is a great story. Thanks for posting.
They do have a lot to deal with this early in a new relationship but together than can handle anything that comes their way. Their love is new but it is strong. PPS
So in love so cute. I enjoy this one. Let get a test and hopefully Hailey is fine…
glad everything is out in the open.pps
Whew, you had me scared there for a bit. I am so glad these two are talking and being honest. That’s how hurdles are cleared and not stumbled over. Thanks for the great bedtime read. ;-)
well, as I recall, it was Dana who breached patient-doctor confidentiality and masterminded the don’t tell/get Kit plan; Bette simply went along with the doctor & supplied her sister to help SO imo Tina needs to talk to her good friend Dana about honesty in their professional relationship. However great chapter. PPS.
Wow 513, this story is amazing, I just read the whole thing (sorry about cheating) and can’t wait for the next post. At first I thought they were moving way to fast but then you put the breaks on, If nothing else I think this site and the stories here taught me to not be so impaulsive. It was heart breaking to learn of the little girls illness and I know from experience that no amount of red meat or dark greens will ever cure leukemia, so that comment about being a case for the record books was right on. Therefore I will look forward to the next chapter with hope for Hailey and maybe a relaxing day for the new family. Thank you, Md
