“Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck.” Dana murmured to herself as she walked into the studio after leaving Alice’s
“It went that well, huh?” Shane asked softly
Dana jumped at the unexpected voice. “Shane! What are you doing?”
“I heard you leave earlier and I knew what you were going to do.” Shane patted the bed next to her. “What happened?”
“It was a disaster.” Dana said as she sat down next to Shane, a tear making its way down her cheek. “I told her I loved her, told her why I broke up with her, told her why I moved, and then I kissed her.”
“Damn.” Shane whistled. “Well what did she say?”
“That she’s happy with Luke.”
“What about the kiss. What did she do?”
Dana smiled slightly. “She kissed me back.”
“Maybe it’s not over then.”
“Yes it is. She’s over me Shane.” Dana looked at her suitcase. “I’m going to go say good-bye to my parents tomorrow then go back to New York.”
“Already?” Shane asked softly
“I can’t face her after that.”
“Are you at least going to say good-bye to us this time?”
Dana pulled Shane into a hug. “I’ll wake you up in the morning.”
“I hate you.” Shane muttered into Dana’s ear. “I hate you and Alice.”
“I know.” Dana chuckled
The next morning, Dana packed her bags and walked into the kitchen to find Shane, Carmen, Jenny, Bette, and Tina all scowling at her with their arms crossed.
“Hey guys.” Dana said hesitantly
“Please don’t go.” Jenny said quietly
Dana burst into tears. “I’m sorry.”
“Oh sweetie.” Bette said and wrapped Dana in a tight hug
Everyone said their tearful good-byes to Dana and then all took a deep breath to calm themselves down.
“Should we call Alice?” Tina asked
“No!” Dana exclaimed quickly. “No.” She repeated more calmly. “Just…just tell her I love her.” She whispered
The women followed Dana to her car and the athlete turned to face them one last time. “I promise I’ll keep in touch this time.”
“You better.” Shane smiled half-heartedly
“I love you guys.” Dana said, tearing up again
“We love you too Dane.” Carmen said softly
“Are you sure you can’t stay for New Years?” Tina asked hopefully

Ok,it was actually Alice who got her woman back! Yay, Danish is just the best!! Like everyone else, I’m smiling like an idiot right now. And the best thing, the story continues (at least till their New Years Eve)! :D
Why is it that every time I do something that is remotely Poop-Sh*t involved I’m up till the wee hours of the morning? I didn’t get to sleep until damn near 7 o’ clock in the morning and what do you do to repay me? You post a fucking amazing chapter that I have to read so I stay up till 4 even though my eyes feel like Satan is giving them a sensual fiery massage.
