    Damaged Ch. 122

Shane pulled into the driveway and turned off the Jeep. She sighed and rested her hands on the steering wheel. She laid her head against the seat and closed her eyes. She jumped when she heard her phone ring her pocket. She took it out and saw that it was Carmen. She flipped the phone open and put it to her ear.

    “Hello?”

“Hey, how are you?” Shane looked up and sighed.

    “I’m fine, how’s your family?”

Carmen sighed heavily. “We finally got mom to sleep, it was a long day for us. But I guess everyone’s okay.” Shane scratched her head.

    “How are you?”

“I’m doing well. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking.” Carmen paused for a second. “I got your voicemail.” Shane began to speak.

“Carmen, I meant every, single word I said. I want you here with me, I’m sick of being alone.”

“I hate this feeling too, but I just feel like that when I return home, everything’s going to remain the same.” Carmen sniffed.

“Carmen, how long will we have to wait?”

“Just give me a few more days. I need to spend time with my family. I’ll call you.” Shane rested her hand on her thigh.

“Fine, I’ll be waiting.” Shane closed her eyes. “I love you.” Carmen hesitated for a second. “Carmen?”

“I love you too Shane.” Shane felt a tear roll down her cheek. “I really do.” Shane bit her lip.

    “Bye.”

“Bye.” Shane hung up the phone and wiped the tear away. She got out of her truck and walked towards the house.

Jenny moaned softly and wrapped herself around Elle. She kissed her neck and snuggled closer to her chest. Elle took a deep breath and licked her lips. Jenny smiled and rubbed Elle’s back.

“That was incredible,” Elle smiled and kissed Jenny’s shoulder. “I never felt that feeling before.”

“There’s always a first time for everything.” Elle looked down at Jenny and kissed the top of her head. “How do you feel?”

    “What do you mean?”

    “The whole thing with Tim.”

“I couldn’t feel any better. Every since the day he left, I’ve been through so much, but I’m a better person. I’m so much happier than I was before. I met the right people, I met the wrong people, but that’s all part of life. A part of me didn’t want to be alive, I wanted to curl up in a little hole and die. But I guess sometimes, life works out for you when you least expect it.” Jenny sighed. “What did you think of him?”

    1. ACB, Alice and Dana getting hitched just feels so right. But what will Jordana do??? As for Tina and Candace I am not sure that this is a healthy relationship for Tina. Lauren seems like the better option although maybe being degraded by Candace is what Tina needs to punish herself and try to make sense of all her internal thoughts and confusion. Good to see that Shane and Carmen are making tentative steps at reconciliation. Family matters but so friends and lovers. Bette and Helena, Jenny and Elle are just delightful and proving how wonderful love can be. Can’t wait to see where this leads to next. I’ll be waiting. Your Loyal Fan.
