Bette and Tina were wrapped around each other on the couch, their legs tangled. Tina gently kissed Bette.
“I have to go away this weekend.” Bette confessed.
“I saw your itinerary on the table.”
“I know it’s my weekend with Angelica and Kit has already offered to take her if you already have plans.” Bette sighed and tucked a stray hair behind Tina’s ear. “I have to deal with some things in regard to this upcoming show. I won’t call it a crisis because I don’t think it is. I just need to smooth some things over to make everyone happy.”
“Sounds fun.”
Bette smiled. “I’ll miss you.”
“Me too. What time do you leave?”
“Well, I’m supposed to leave at eight, but that’s so late. I just switched my flight to four instead.”
Tina remained quiet for a few minutes. She studied Bette’s smooth body next to her own and she looked closely at Bette’s deep brown eyes.
Nervously, Tina talked. “Bette… would you like some company this weekend?”
Bette glanced at Tina. “What do you mean?”
“Well, what if I joined you?”
“You want to come with me? For a whole weekend?” Bette’s excitement shone through.
“I think it would be fun.”
“I think it’s a great idea.” Bette paused. “But what about Angelica?”
“You already said Kit would take her. I wasn’t planning on having her this weekend.”
Bette thought for a minute. She nodded. “This could work. What about everyone else? Won’t they wonder why we’re both gone for the weekend?”
“I’ve been toying with the idea of going away for a weekend when you had Angelica for some time away… time to chill. This is the perfect excuse.”
Bette’s mouth slowly worked it’s way up into a grin. “You’d better book the flight.”
Tina jumped up and started dressing. She took out her cell phone and went into the bathroom. Bette pulled herself off the couch and dressed. She went into the bedroom and started to pack. As she moved into the closet, she looked out the window. She saw Shane’s car in the driveway next door. Panicked, Bette moved closer to the window and saw Shane on the front porch smoking. Bette looked at her watch and wondered why Shane was home in the middle of the day. Based on their conversation earlier this week, Shane mentioned working all day.
Tina walked into the room. “All set. I’m not on the same flight as you, but it’s a half hour behind. I’ll meet you at the hotel.” She looked at her watch. “I have seriously got to run! I hope I can make it in time.” Tina grabbed her purse and Bette stopped her at the door.
“Should Kit pick up Angelica at your place?”
“Yes. The nanny is there now. I’ll tell her what’s going on when I go home. I’m leaving it up to you to tell Kit about the details of where she can find everything. I don’t want Kit to get suspicious.”
“Bette nodded. “Good idea.” She hesitated. “Um… there is one problem.”
“What am I forgetting?”
Bette pointed to the house next door. “Shane’s home. She’s on the front porch.”
Tina’s eyes widened. “Oh my god. What should I do?”
Bette put her hands on Tina’s shoulders. “Take it easy. I have an idea.”
Tina walked out to her car with Bette following and she opened the trunk. Inside was a bag which Tina took out and handed to Bette. Nonchalantly, they both looked over to Shane.
“Hi Shane.” Tina said. Bette waved.
“Hey guys, what’s up?”
“Nothing much. Just dropping some stuff off for Kit. She’s taking care of Angelica this weekend.”
“Where are you going?” Shane asked.
“I’m going to New York on an emergency to solve a work crisis.” Bette rolled her eyes.
“And I’m going away on a relaxing trip to spend some time to myself. I had already planned on Bette having Angelica this weekend.”
“Right on.” Shane smiled. “Have a good time. You too, Bette, if you can.”
“Thanks, Shane.” Bette said.
Bette and Tina walked back into the house and dropped the bag on the floor. They nervously looked at each other.
“Think she bought it?” Tina asked.
“I think so. She didn’t act weird.”
“Good. Ok, I gotta run.” Tina kissed Bette and left.
Shane watched Tina peel out of the driveway and she shook her head, grinning.

Yep, Shane knows for sure now. I love B&T sneaking around while they work out their sexual frustrations. Now they need to work on really reconnecting.

This story is a blast! Shane is Yoda. She knows. She saw. They probably both had that “just fucked” look. Shane would recognize that really well. Thanks for posting so often. That definitely makes the story more fun and continuous.

Did they really think they could pull one over on Shane?
Come on, Yoda knows! They really suck at hiding things. Kit knows, Shane knows, and soon big snoop Al will know, too! Loving this story. Can’t wait to see how much fun the two have in New York!
Even disguises won’t help them now. But this game may be adding a little zing, so let them enjoy their charade.

Shane never acts wierd, unless she’s getting married. Shane I trust with my business. Alice, no. I think Shane is not only Yoda, she’s the Buddah too. Thank you for these ‘nooners’ – I’m getting addicted!

lol…I actually thought they had a plan to tell Shane…lol…what was that? Shane’s no dummy…but I am sure she’ll keep their secret. Now Alice on the other hand is probably in an unmarked car across the street…or when she finds out Bette is in NYC then she’ll probably track her down. I hope they have a very romantic weekend.
So who busts them when they get back, Kit or Alice? At home or at the airport?

They both suck at lying, so they should have told Kit and Shane because they have already figured it out. Alice is another story entirely. Love this story and all they are going through to get their love and relationship back on track. I hope that is what they are doing. They need this time away all to themselves. Keep the episodes coming and them too. Love it.

sorry i didn’t post before, i was away but i read all chapters and this story is so exciting that i can hardly wait for the next chapter…love the plotting and B&T sneaking around…and of course, nothing can fool shane so good it was her who saw them and not alice…thanks for coming back with yet another awesome story

The wonderful way in which the gals think that they are getting away with their secret rendezvous while Kit and Shane have them completely pegged and Alice isn’t far behind them.
