CHAPTER 9
"Hey Carmen, you know what you should do?" Alice managed to say between two fits of laughter, "You should make more of your ‘Mojito de las Picales’?"
"Morales", Carmen corrected her, "’Mojito de las Morales".
"Oh…" Alice said, struggling to focus her eyes on the young latin woman, "Okay, if you say so…"
Her comment provoked a snort from Tina, which turned into another fit of hysteric laughter, immediately joined by Alice.
The two blondes were lying on the couch, half-drunk and laughing like teenagers. They had been for the past hour.
"I really don’t understand", Carmen wondered out loud, smelling her drink, "I didn’t make it that strong though."
Just then, the door opened and Helena stepped in, immediately followed by Bette.
"She is fantastic!" Helena announced upon entering.
Tina turned to her wife’s voice. But as soon as she caught sight of Bette, she got up and, almost pouncing on her, put her hands on her shoulders and kissed her on both cheeks.
"Aww…" She said looking at her, "Fantastic…"
Bette was flabbergasted, but complaining was the last thing on her mind. Although obviously drunk, Tina’s sudden proximity and… kisses – on the cheeks, granted, but kisses all the same – had left her warm and dizzy.
In her drunken state, all of Tina’s inhibitions had fallen down and she was staring at Bette adoringly. The brunette could only grin in return, all of her free will gone the moment Tina’s lips had touched her skin.
"Thanks to Bette, Esmeralda gave birth safely, and it’s a boy!" Helena continued, oblivious to the exchange before her, "I named him ‘professor’." She added proudly.
"Professor…" Tina repeated, "How cuuuuute…!" She said, never taking her eyes from Bette’s.
With the alcohol, the roller-coaster of emotions she’d been on all day had finally taken its toll on her. And as she faced the woman that had gotten deep under her skin in such a short period of time, she just wanted to let go of all her disappointment and frustration and get lost in the brunette’s eyes.
"Ms Peabody, Nassau on line 1", came Henry’s muffled voice through the intercom, brutally interrupting the moment.
"Oh!… Sorry honey." Helena said, "Andrew, please serve the champagne in the lounge!" She called out to the butler, before disappearing through the door.
Tina collapsed on the couch, and snorting again, she turned to Alice.
"How long was it this time, Al? She stayed at least 15 seconds, didn’t she?" She said ironically.

i thoroughly enjoyed that. let helena got to her stupid meeting and fall head over heels in love with someone like Dana/Erin Daniels who is on BIG SHOTS. They sound like they’d suit each other.Great funny chapter. I love the funny stories. PPS.
tina is so cute i felt so sorry for her and bette that they are apart..and the “Oh my god…When I think I could have killed Professor Porter” GREAT!!!helena is so stuping and nothing can stop our tibette. Awesome update. Now will you please do something with Helena. I don’t care just don’t let her continue to hurt Tina. Besides we all know that Bette is Tina’s woman.

Great chapter, glad to hear nothing will stand in the way of Tibette but I do feel sorry for Helena. She is so in love with Tina but it is just not ment to be. Bette can feel the connection that she and Tina share but she is too good a person to get in between Helena and Tina. Sure you are not ready to tell us all where you got the idea for thisfic? It is wonderful. PPS

Hey, no worries, K ! This was a wonderful chapter ! Truly great ! Tina was hilarious and very endearing at the same time. It seems alcohol makes her even cuter. And as much I love Bette and Tibette, I’m quite a bit pissed at Helena right now for abandoning her spouse right after their wedding and breaking another promise remorselessly. What a pity ! Tina’s right, how dare she ?! Besides, it’s not like Helena is the only busy woman here, Tina’s work is pretty “demanding” too and yet, she made the time for the woman she decided to spend her life with. And Helena is so wrapped up in her work/career she didn’t even notice that Tina was staring at Bette like she was “bewitched” by the stunning brunette. As for Bette, well, she’s perfect as usual… Love love love this chapter ! Thank you, K.

I’ve always liked Helena, even with Tina, so I’m glad you’re not making her the typical bitch. Can’t wait for Tina’s reaction once the alcohol wears off. Thanks for the morning post!

This story is simply enchanting…I love their unspoken connection and the drama it creates. Helena is definitely going to have a rude wake-up call; particularly if she indeed does not go on their honeymoon. More soon!
