    Cure-all, Chapter 38

    CHAPTER 38

“Wow…” Tina exclaimed, as they penetrated into the hotel lobby, “This is a stunning place, Al.”

“Yeah…?” Her friend replied nonchalantly, “I don’t know, I don’t notice anymore…” She said in a superior tone.

“What do you mean, you don’t notice anymore?” Tina chuckled, “Are you a regular here?”

Alice looked at her with a mischievous smile and gave her a wink before she walked towards the reception desk. Tina shook her head with a smile and followed her friend.

“Bienvenue a l’Hotel Four-Seasons, Mesdames.” The receptionist greeted them.

Alice thanked him and gave him their reservation’s details. While he was checking them in, Tina leaned into her friend.

“Alice, this place must cost a fortune!” She whispered.

Her friend turned to her with a grin. She was holding a credit card.

“Yes it does…” She replied with a smirk, “… Say thank you to L.A. magazine!”

Tina’s only possible answer to that was to open her mouth in shock and then laugh at her friend’s boldness.

The check-in took some time, and while Tina was yet again checking her voicemail, Alice rested her back onto the reception desk and scanned the huge lobby. The place was packed and Alice noticed a big crowd scattered around the lounge.

“Oh my, I see that your hotel is very popular.” She said to the receptionist, nodding toward the large group.

“Well, the Four-Seasons generally is, yes…” He nodded pompously, “But this is exceptional. Those people are all scientists. They are here to attend an international conference.”

“Oh, okay…” Alice vaguely commented, obviously losing interest. She turned towards Tina who was putting her phone away.

“Are you done with this phone already?” She complained, “You’ve been obsessed with it ever since we left L.A… Are you waiting for a phone call?”

    Tina looked at her,

    “Huh?… Uh, yes… I mean, no… I, uh… I just…”

“Errr, whatever…” Alice cut in, taking the keycard and papers that the receptionist was handing out to her, “Let’s go and settle in, Dana is waiting for us.”

With this, they headed to the elevator.

… Had they glanced towards the other side of the lounge at this very moment, they would have noticed a beautiful and familiar looking brunette in deep conversation with an older woman, stand up and walk towards the exit.

    3. Finally! AWW they are so sweet together I’m glad Al could see what was happening and gave them some alone time. Can’t wait for the next chapter. PPS

    4. You had me worried, but the ending was just so perfect and sweet. Their long-awaited declaration of love was certainly worth the wait. No cliches, just kudos to your writing!

    5. I hope that TBC actually meant “To Be Continued very soon” ’cause I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to wait too long here. Oh, and by the way, I don’t think it was full of clichés at all. The Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, les bateaux mouches or les quais de Seine, that would have been the biggest clichés in my opinion, but La Butte Montmartre, no, not so much. Besides, who cares ?!! I mean, really, I absolutely loved Amelie Poulain and it was full of enormous clichés about Paris ( including those about Montmartre of course ). Do I need to say that I loved this chapter ? Once again, you’ve outdone yourself my friend ! BRAVO !

    6. OK, one more thing, I know my comment won’t make me very poplular among your legions of fans, and I myself wrote that I wanted more of this because I’ve really enjoyed reading this story A LOT and therefore I somehow never want this to stop, but if I’m honest, ” dramatically speaking ” I think this could be a beautiful ending to a wonderful story and I think you could very well leave it as it is. But of course I won’t be one to complain when you post your next chapter ( wink ! ). Author’s call !

    7. I was getting a little nervous here. For a minute or so, I felt like they were going to continue to miss each other. I was pleasantly surprised by their coming together and the ending of this post.

    8. Hey you! First and foremost, I apologize for the delay. Apparently I missed a few updates of my favourite stories and I didn’t even notice. I posted last week and didn’t get a chance to check what was going here until today. Anyway, amazing update… you had me (as usual) on the edge of my seat. I was almost screaming at Bette and Alice “Look up, Look up!” Yeah I get overly excited by your story. LOL Can’t wait to see what you have in store for those ladies. Take care… oh and yes you have me kinda forgotten I think! :o)

    9. I agree with all the other comments. Amazingly Perfect and Beautiful Chapter! After everything that they have been through this was just the perfect place for them to express their feelings. I LOVE THIS STORY! I swear i was so lost in the last few pages i was nervous just to read on. Thank you for not making it a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read more ! PPS

    10. in one of my stories i had B&T in Paris too, as bette proposed at Sacre Couer…i’m a hopeless romantic, i don’t care about cliches…this was beautiful, magnifique, breathtaking…

    11. Absolutely beautiful. You had me holding my breath in anticipation at all the missed opportunities for these two to connect but in the end you deliverd romance at it’s finest. Now, back to the hotel for some NC-17 lovin’, right Kword?

    12. Awww… that was so beautiful! I’m glad you chose not to tease us to death with them passing by each other lol. I gotta admit, Alice leaving them alone surprised me a bit :) Thank you for sharing this wonderful story with us.
