    You can’t fight chemistry.

    Chapter 2

    Chemistry

     

    “Tina?”

     

    Just as she was about to reach out to the blonde, Peggy’s Uncle Joe grabbed Bette in a bear hug and swung her around.  “Little B.  Look at you; my girl.  When did you get so tall?” 

    Bette winced with embarrassment.  “Uh, about tenth grade Uncle Joe.” He gave her a big, sloppy, wet kiss and put her down. “It’s good to have you home, button.”  His sincerity, made Bette feel guilty for getting a little ticked at him for making her lose some cool points.  “Thanks, Uncle Joe.  It’s good to be back. You look good.” She noticed the older man lose his attention span, as was his habit when a beautiful woman caught his eye.

     

    “Ok button, we’ll catch up later. I’ll be by the bar talking up that cute redhead right over there.”

     

      He walked away with his task at hand as Tina tried to keep herself from laughing at the whole scene.  While it had been unfolding she had gotten a chance to really look at Bette.  She had on a white suit with three-inch heels.  Her tailored white shirt had alternating opaque and see through stripes.  It was cut short slightly revealing her toned stomach.  She was breathtaking, her hair cascading over her shoulders in loose curls.  As always she was so gracious and charming.  She had everyone eating out of her hand.  Tina would be no exception. She turned toward the blonde once again attempting her greeting. 

     

    “Hey.  Tina. Wow. Um, how are you?  It’s good to see you.”  She walked right up to her and put her arms around her to hug her.  She pulled her close and inhaled the scent of her hair.  Tina could not breath; she thought she would pass out at the feel of Bette’s body against hers.  Bette was strong, yet gentle and she would be committing her perfume to memory.  Say something you idiot, she thought to herself. 

     

    “Hi, Bette.  It’s good to see you too.  It’s been a long time.”

     

    “I’ll say it has.  Let me look at you.  God, you’re all grown up.  I mean, I knew you would be but still you look different from the last time I saw you…You know I can still picture you in pigtails running around with that old beat up camera taking pictures of everything in sight.  Shit, you look so…different.”

This is fucking good!!I’m a huge fan of your storys [soul and the slayer]… and this one is awesome!!…but why can’t they just go with the flow..like they’re used to?..i mean is not that Tina’s relationship to Helena is one for keeps, why not explore that feeling..So she didn’t have regrets is she look back and think “what if” love how you update…we never have to wait for?…i don’t know?….maybe depends on the writer’s mood?.. A MONTH IF WE’RE LUCKY?…It’s great to have a writer like you… so considerate to us readers….

    9. Your story is so great! You can already feel the tension that is going to grow into a crescendo between Bette and Helena…as well as the explosion going to take place between our fav couple. Great job!

    13. Hey JBMcLovin, Long time no comment but ready to make up for it now.This is a wonderful and playful story. The connection between Bette and Tina is so strong. They are each fighting their innermost desires while fearful of the other’s reaction.Helena so far has been an ungrateful and jealous bully. It is time that Tina steps up and tells Helena to step off. i can’t wait to read how this all develops.Thank you so much for sharing this amazing adventure with me.Your Loyal Fan.
