Tina helped her to the bed. She laid Bette down and pulled her ever so close to her own warm body. She held her close, tightening her grip every time she felt Bette needed her just a little bit more. For thirty minutes all Bette did was lie trembling, making Tina’s t-shirt all wet at the shoulder. Tina didn’t speak, other than a few comforting words every now and then. She knew Bette didn’t need words and probably couldn’t explain. So she just made sure Bette could feel her not letting go.
Bette had calmed down. Tina wasn’t sure if she was sleeping. But then she felt her warm hand slip under her t-shirt to her stomach.
“I’m really happy about this…. please don’t misunderstand, T….” She said.
“I know you are…” Tina smiled.
“I just… I don’t know….” Bette said, her words failing her.
“You don’t have to say anything, baby…. don’t explain… I know.”
“This baby… our baby will be so loved, Tina…” Bette whispered.
“She will be, yes…” Tina smiled.
“She?”
“Or he…”
“Do you think we’ll have a daughter?” Bette asked and got up on her elbow to look down at Tina.
“I don’t know… It just came out. I don’t know why I said that…” Tina said, quite surprised by her own words.
“Either way our baby will be an angel… our angel… Did you know, Tina? Did you have a feeling you might be pregnant?”
“I’ve had all sorts of feelings… I didn’t know… otherwise I would have told you…”
“We should make an appointment with doctor Wilson… just to make sure…”
“We should… do you wanna make the call?” Tina asked and brushed a tear from Bette’s chin.
“I’d like that… We’re going to make it this time, you know that right?” Bette asked, her voice still a little shaky.
“Bette… we don’t know what is going to happen… I… let’s make it past the 12th week before we…” Tina stopped, not knowing how to finish the sentence.
“I wasn’t talking about the baby. We, you and I, we’re going to make it no matter what happens.”
“I know we are, Bette… this time is different. Everything is different this time around…”
“Look, yes, when we make it past the 12th week we’ll both feel so relieved… but T… that doesn’t mean we can’t be hopeful and happy now…” Bette said, her eyes searching Tina’s.
“…. true…”
“So will you let me pamper you? Will you let me be at your beg and call? Will you let me make a fuss… and be happy? I need you to be happy with me, Tina…”
“I am… baby, I’m happy for us…” Tina smiled.
“Okay then…” Bette smiled with Tina.
“Can we just stay here like this for a while?”
“We can stay here for the rest of the weekend if you like….” Bette said, while Tina lifted Bette’s t-shirt and put her face against her naked chest.
“So you are going to be at my beg and call…” Tina giggled, “I wonder how I can take advantage of that….”
“I’m sure you’ll figure it out…” Bette laughed.
“Mmm… so am I… I plan to be a very horny pregnant lady….” Tina smiled with her lips to Bette’s nipple.
Bette laughed. “You plan to make me your love slave…?”
“I thought you already were my love slave….” Tina giggled and bit down gently on Bette’s hardening nipple.
“See? There you go again being the smart one…” Bette chuckled as she pulled her shirt over her head.

Yay, there is going to be a little baby. I hope this time Bette puts her family first. It would be a nice way for everything to come full circle. Can’t wait for them to navigate this one together. First appointment. Sonogram. Everything. Can’t wait for that happy family stuff. PPS.

I have discovered this site only a couple of months ago so after reading the previous chapter, I visited ur page n read this story from the beginning. I like the fact that their problems and the way their relationship progress is portrayed in the form of conversations between the character rather than offered as opinions or background info by the writer. anyways I just love this story so PPS. thanks

Yes they are pregnant. This time it will be better. I am surprised that Bette could function at all with all the turmoil that she has had in her life. Her mother leaving her and scarring her for life. Tina is a very strong woman to be able to go on with all that has happened to her also. No parents around, almost losing the love of her life and losing her first child. That is enough to send anybody on the road to insanity.
Yippie!!! they’re pregnant. How can you not love being Bette Porter’s partner. Tina you are one lucky lady, but then so is Bette.

Hello Anker, Good to have you back. I am doing a little happy dance to celebrate your return. Thank you so much for your kind words. Given the effort that you put into these wonderful chapters it only seems fair to comment and share my thought with you. I wonder how often a writer reads the comments and see something completely unexpected. Each reader will interpret your magical words differently. That is one of the benefits of this medium. SO on to Bette and Tina. Well, firstly, Bette and Kit. It was great to see Bette with ants in her pants about returning home to see Tina and carry out the pregnancy test. And how sweet was she at sharing her desires for a child with Kit. This shows that their struggle to maintain a sisterly relationship has been so worthwhile. Yes, it has taken time and a lot of effort on both side but now the rewards can be taken. Then getting an idea of Tina’s day before heading home. At least her presentation would remove her from the am I, aren’t I scenario. Once at home it was tantalizing to see Bette as attentive and nervous about the test. Okay, this was way different from the previous test but so important in strengthening Bette and Tina’s relationship. Sharing this life-altering moment was joyous. Bette’s lust and lascivious behavior was hysterical. I could just imagine her being a mouse and seeing Tina as a big lump of cheese. Anywho, it was awesome to experience the unadulterated bliss that flowed their discovery. Tina is pregnant. I can now see Bee running around the streets and shout this from every corner. It is early days and they aren’t out of the woods yet but I hope and have my fingers crossed that a beautiful child will be the result of their partnership. Please, please, puh-lease make it so. Absolutely adorable! That’s how I would describe Bette’s reaction to “little stick thingy” **that line made me LOL, because that’s exactly how I would probably refer to it** I agree, these two are going to make it. Hopefully with a beautiful baby in their lives but if not, they have a love that will see them through. You have portrayed their resolve to each other throughout this entire story and it’s refreshing to read. Good to have you back my friend.

Okay, Anker, let’s not make this cantakarous commentor look anti-baby. I love babies! Well, except the diaper thing… Anyway, I guess I hoped to say (tactufully, of course) that many stories become formulamatic after the pregnancy is introduced. However!!! I have such strong faith in your ability to take our girls down such unexplored and unique pathwyas, I’m sure that the ordinary would be the exception and not the rule! Favorite line this post: “Are you negotiating with the test, Bette?” Thanks for sharing your creations!

Well, Well, Well what can I say but what a great surprise to come back from my vacation to not only one chapter but two from one of my fav authors. And yes to answer your question..I did go back and read this story from the beginning. You see I was going through what I like to call “anker withdrawal”, so that was the only way I could get my “fix”. LOL Now about these last two chapters. I don’t think I have the words to tell you how fantastic they both are…but you know me so I’ll try. In chapter 46 I love the fact that Tina is not going to just sit around and let Bette go back to her old ways at work. Also love that Bette is willing to listen and they are really talking to each other about how they are feeling. Now this chapter made me smile, laugh, tear up and even say ah. Anker I didn’t think it was possible but your writing keeps getting better and better. You are a wonderful and talented woman and I am so glad to be able to be counted as one of your friends. Oh and yes once again I am patiently waiting for your next email. LOL
