    The spade digging my own grave

    One more shovel full ‘til I’m dead and gone

    Digging to the rhythm of my dead heart beat

    I’m desperate for my answer

     

    Ravenous in my life

    I fed the monkey that ate my life away

    The sun is gone, still digging ‘til I make my grave

    Collision Course 4.73 – Hole

     

     

                Bette turned, looking at the newcomer to the room, gasping in surprise and fright.  Her hand moved to her mouth, covering the ‘O’ that her appearance had invoked.  Fear gripped her, but she didn’t move the simple white dress she was wearing billowed as she turned.  Her hair was longer, loose, her skin was near perfect as she began to speak, her bottom lip trembling….

     

                  Jo snapped awake, wrenching her eyes open, the cascade of white bright light made her close her eyes again, “Merde.”  Pain harbored in every cell of her being, making her light headed and unable to focus.  There was someone in the room, but Jo didn’t know who it was yet.

     

                “Hey,” whispered Bette who was at her bedside, pushing back Jo’s sweaty hair.  “Hey there sleepy head it’s about time you woke up.”

     

                Jo tried to swallow, but found her mouth dry and her voice failing her, Bette reached over to the bedside table, taking some ice chips that were melting there but Jo shook her head no, “How long….?” Croaked the always brave woman, her voice cracking, giving away how weak she really was.

     

                “Four days,” said Bette her voice filled with pain.  Bette touched Jo’s left hand, the IV burning slightly as Bette touched it.  “We were worried about you, I’m going to go get Spencer, she’s sleeping, but wanted me to wake her the minute you woke up, if you woke…..”

    7. That was AWESOME, Janet! That was some earthquake, damn. I don’t know what Jo is going to do now. I hope she can forgive Bette eventually. …Quin and Tina, what the heck just happened? I thought things were going at least okay, but geez, that was a quick ending. And does Ro know that Daisy’s a bit …young for her? Great, great stuff, Janet. Keep em comin!

    8. Oh dear, that was a great chapter, haven’t a clue what is going to happen next, is this the end of Tina/Quinn, I liked these two together..Bette/Jo again like this pairing to, everyone has been shaken up…more please.

    10. WOW, That was…WOW! I’m really kinda scared for Bette. Jo is going to be sooo pissed, she might split Bette in two. I also thought the sphere told Bette what she had to do, not what she wanted to do, that just puts a whole new perspective on things. Bette could plead temporary insanity, perhaps? I luv them together but I don’t see them getting back together, I mean thats serious betrayal against Jo’s wishes. Although I’m glad Jo’s a vamp again. Daisy & Ro? O.K. I’ll bite. (sorry Jo, no pun intended). Great one JM.
