Jo and Tina were walking back to the parking lot of Peabody Productions, laughing about something that Tina was telling Jo that Angelica had done earlier that week. Their rapport was an easy one, transitioning from one topic to another, but finally settling on Tina’s daughter. Jo seemed to be at ease not speaking about herself, instead she was very good at getting everyone else to talk about themselves.
“So, she’s quite the character,” smiled Jo, folding the amber colored sunglasses and tucking them along the collar of her shirt. Trying to remember some of the good times that she and Spencer had had, unfortunately, they were hard to remember, having been very few. Their tumultuous mother/daughter relationship wasn’t the things that were made to be put in scrap books. It was regrettable, but had been inevitable.
“Absolutely, she’s remarkable. Walking already, talking, she says ‘Mom’, and ‘Bette’, and a few other words. ‘No’ is her new one, and she certainly doesn’t like peas,” grinned Tina.
Jo looked around, suddenly on alert, seeing a dark figure seemingly hanging around the last two cars in the lot, Jo’s and Tina’s, “Hold up.” Jo said softly, hand on Tina’s lower back, Jo bent, slipping a revolver from her ankle holster. The gun small, almost hidden in her hand, Jo pushed it against the outside of her thigh, on alert.
“What…,” said Tina, looking over and seeing someone at her car. “Who is that?”
“Don’t know,” answered Jo, her eyes shifting left and right. “Hello?” called out Jo to the man by the car.
“Tina?” the man yelled back. “God damn it, where the fuck have you been? I’ve been trying reach you, who the fuck is with you? You’re not answering your cell because your out fucking around with some…,” angrily said the man.
“With a client,” snapped Jo, cutting him off. Instantly not liking whoever the hell this was. Slipping the revolver into the waist band of her pants, tugging her shirt over it, hiding the bulge.
“Yeah,” he snapped, not believing it for an instant.
“Henry, this is Jo Wheaton. What is wrong that couldn’t wait until I got home?” asked Tina. Flustered and trying to keep the anger out of her voice.

I suppose there’s gonna be a hell of a lot of action at County Hospital. Lots going down, eh? Buckle up!
Damn, I didn’t think Ro was going to be hurt that badly, if at all. They need to catch that little bastard, before he does more damage. Tina better leave Henry, its only a matter of time before he hits her or hurts Angelica. Jo should’ve kicked Henry’s ass just for the hell of it (yeah, I know she wasn’t provoked, but it was a nice thought). Great chap.
Hope that Jo takes care of Tina. Hate whwn men trys to talk down to me. Bette seems to be taking care of Ro, and no doubt Carman will take care of her brother, Is Henry abuse to Tina? If so lets get abuses to him. I know youput in loooong hrs, but we do miss your stories. Thanks for posting this 14days later thanks bvh
Damn girl!!! I was about to give up on you. No actually, thanks for giving us some of your time, after having to work 60 hours a week. Maybe Jo can convince Tina to get rid of Henry. I can’t wait to see what happens when everyone ends up at the hospital at the same time…Very interesting!
Wow…there was alot in this chapter…loved it. Why is Tina still w/Henry if he is like this? I hope Angelica is okay. They need to get Rosita to the ER…will Tina be there with Jo? Please post soon.
I can’t help it…I love it when Bette takes charge!!! And, Jo is right Tina…run fast and run hard away from that man!! I have been waiting for your post JM…smiling this Sunday morning. Thanks!
Apparently everybody will meat at the hospital for various reason, lol. It’s gonna be fun to read I’m sure. I’m good by the way, still haven’t find time to work on my own story. Now I’m off to read J.A.D.E.D until my next fix ~wink~
