The next day Dana finished her morning run at The Planet. She went in and waved to her friends while placing her order. She headed over to their standard table and sat down. Her friends could not help but notice the huge, goofy grin on Dana’s face.
“So. I guess the endorphins are working on you there, Dane?” Shane asked with a slight grin of her own.
The gang knew about the big date the night before and were hoping that the normally shy Dana might be forthcoming with some details.
Dana’s smile did not falter and she was bursting with the news. “I got to second base last night!”
Now just a year ago this statement would have caused the gang to ridicule Dana mercilessly. And, frankly, Dana would have never even thought of making such a statement, well, ever.
But now this declaration meant that their Alice was progressing with her emotional healing and that the couple was back together.
Bette, Tina and Shane all gave exclamations of joy. Shane even bumped fists with the athlete and said “Way to go, Miss Dana!”
Dana could not stop grinning. “Man, guys, I feel like I’m in high school or something. Not like when I was in high school, I guess, but a normal person in high school.”
Her friends nodded encouragingly.
“We jumped into the physical stuff so fast last time. It was great, but, this time just feels so much more… deliberate? I hate the reason for it, but, it’s like going slow is giving more time to understand and appreciate the connection.”
“Anyway…. I just stopped by to get my girl something to eat.” Other folks in The Planet could almost see the love and happiness radiating out from Dana as she picked up her order and headed out the door.
Dana and Alice had several more dates in addition to meeting up at The Planet daily. Dana was thrilled when Alice showed up at the club one day as a surprise to meet her for lunch after practice.
Alice had been so concerned about going there. She knew it was Dana’s “turf” and didn’t want to intrude. But, she had been in the neighborhood, and decided to give it a shot. She was beyond delighted when she saw Dana’s happy expression on seeing her. Dana ran right over and made sure Alice was comfortably seated in the stands before going back to her training. Alice love watching Dana work out. It wasn’t just the short skirt and the sweaty vein-popping goodness. Dana was so confident and comfortable with herself on the court. She had a grace that, for whatever reason, didn’t always carry over into her day-to-day life.

You did it again…. I have that same stupid grin on my face. It kind of automatically appears when you post. Really… it’s weird :) Anyway a big AAAAWWWW for this chapter. You know, Alice being sweet… who wouldn’t want her to take care of you when you’re sick? I think I would deliberately catch colds for that :) I almost fell of my chair from laughing at the vibrator comment hihihi. I could totally see Dana say it. I don’t know anything else to say than… PPS :D
I love you Goose. That was a sweet funny chapter. I can so see Dana looking down at the ground twilding her thumbs talking about the vibrator. Good funny stuff

This is gonna sound really weird, but I think I’m developing a crush on Sick!Dana. Soooo damn cute. I can just picture her sitting on the couch being all sniffly and adorable. Le sigh. And it’s wonderful to see Alice recovering so steadily. I sense a few setbacks to come, but her progress thus far has been incredible. I love that she took care of Dana, and them calling each other “honey” is just too cute. I’m also glad they’re communicating about things…and Dana mumbling about her vibrator? I just about died from cuteness overload. You’re fantastic at this, even if I think you’re crazy. I don’t make sense anywhere near “always.” Lol.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW so…fucking…. cute. It’s actually amazing that Alice knows how to cook. And Dana’s vibrator!! LMAO hilarious, yet…. so so so cute. I only hope Alice overcome and have some hotness going on ;)

I liked the role reversal (not in a perverte way ;)), Alice taking care of Dana. And yeah, I agree with Muted, sick Dana = adorable. :D Oh my, Dana using toys, who would have thought. :)Looking forward to the nextchapter.

I think you showed a little nervousness in Alice when she saw the Planet as Dana’s turf. I mean, the Planet is their Planet. And the whole chicken soup for dinner was very sweet. I can’t do a big enough awwwwwwww for Alice and Dana. Especially with the toys making me giggle like a kid. But it is all good.
Hello MaGoose, ok you cannot call such a thing just a filler this was so very good… such an important part of their relationship and so well told… so no sir(e) bop… no filler her… just another brushstroke to your masterpiece. I love how cute these two are… Dana being all sick and sad that she cannot meet her own plans for Alice and Alice making Chicken Soup… I think it would be funny if they end up at the planet when she is better and kit comes out and says something like; “Hey Dana I hope the chicken soup I sent over helped…” that would be priceless :P… you are so rocking and rolling and that little bit at the end… so damn cute and so powerful… Sincerely, JC
