    Closer than before

    “Look, you know I care for you, Jodi. But, between you having other women evolving around you and stuff like that, I’m not sure if us being together is the right thing right now,” Bette replies in a soft hoarse voice. She coughs to clear her throat.

    Jodi stands from the porch steps and proceeds down toward the bottom. She thinks about what Bette just said and turns to face her. “What did I do?”

    “Nothing, Jodi. Everything you did was right. It’s just that you’re a little too late,” Bette replies, trying to bring her down easily.

    “Elaborate, Bette. I do not understand what you’re saying to me,” Jodi says, breathing a little heavy for her own heart beat.

    Bette thinks about what she’s about to say. She knows what she wants to say, but isn’t sure if she should say it the way it sounds in her head. In the past she’s broken a lot of her hearts and she knew that breaking Jodi’s could possibly make her days at work shitty and her relationship with Jodi down right incompetent to work with.

    She inhales deep and says, “I think its best if we…”

    The front door opens and Tina sticks her head out and says, “I’m ready, Bette.”

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Bette turns around smiling and replies, “I’ll be in there in a sec.” She turns around and faces Jodi.

    Tina jumps back when she sees Jodi. She wasn’t expecting to see her that morning and neither did she expect to see her standing on Bette’s front steps. So, because she doesn’t want to be rude, she says, “Hey, Jodi,” she waves her hand back and forth.

    Jodi blew air from her mouth and shook her head uncontrollably. She couldn’t believe that Bette was trying to break up with her to be back with Tina. What kind of game was she playing? Jodi asked herself. She was furious and bothered by being overpowered by Tina. Who the fuck was she? And what was she doing with her woman?

    Jodi starts up the steps toward Tina, but she’s intercepted by Bette, who raises her hands in the air. “Don’t…” Bette says, telling Jodi to stop in her tracks and her continuance toward Tina was inappropriate.

    1. Yeej you got rid of Jodi! Good one! Glad to see you posted, what took you so long? My story’s almost done! Just need to finish it, I’ll try posting it this week, I’LL TRY! *smiles* Hope your next post is a little faster than this one! but thanx anyway for posting!

    2. Jodi must have something seriously wrong with her to go after Tina with Angie being right there. I’m so glad that Bette told her to leave. I love your story C! More please!

    3. Finally you posted now! I was wodering when you’d gonna post but now i’m happy you did and hope that you’d keep posting more often when the time permits you though lol…Great job C.

    4. I can live with them being Bette and Tina again and with Angelica. Too bad Jodi would not stop pushing the issue with Angelica sitting right there with them. I could understand her getting upset but screaming with the baby around is not cool. Now on to putting their lives back together and starting the whole family thing right (including the gang).
