After sharpening her swords the Kai began her pursuit for their last meal of the day. Finding and slaughtering a deer she carried the kill back to the river making a fire then preparing the meat to be cooked. While the meat cooked the sun gradually began to fade it wasn’t until then she noticed Alice was missing. Looking around she was nowhere to be found assuming the worse she heads down the same path in hopes of finding her. Alice being heir to the throne had yet to be confirmed however if she was really who she said she was then she needed to be protected at all cost. With swords in hand she walks the path until she reached the spring she stops upon seeing her fully clothed kneeled down praying. Not wanting to be noticed she heads back to the site. While enjoying their meal the Kai notices Alice had returned from her swim. Her hair was still damped and her dressed clung to her damp body. Taking the cooked deer meat she walks it over to her.

“You believe in the Gods, “her voice raspy and deep yet feminine.

Surprised the Kai had spoken to her it took her a second to find her voice before speaking, “Yes.”

“Why?”

“My mother and sisters have been removed from this world and my home invaded if there are no Gods there is nothing to shape what happens in our lives, “she says pausing before continuing to speak, “There’s no meaning to any of it, I take it you do not believe in such?”

“I do not, “she says sternly before walking off. Alice filled her belly once more with food and drink before falling asleep. The Kai still awake as the words Alice spoke carried weight. She spoke in the most sincere tongue when speaking of her sisters and the now deceased queen a sincerity that could not be mimicked. To the Kai any doubt she once held was now gone, Urena had been correct the blonde was in fact who she said she was the rightful heir and future queen of Lesbiannicus. Seeing her to safety had now become a mission instead of a simple task.

The following morning they began their journey earlier than the previous times the Kai exchanged no further words with her. Upon traveling many miles both Ate and the Kai turned towards an unmark path filled with wild trees and rock. Alice assumed it was unmark as nothing was cleared granting free movement to and from the desired location. They traveled upon this path for many hours as time passed Alice silently wondered if they were lost. Before her mind plagued her with any further doubt she sees a great monument resting just above the horizon in a secluded location. Thinking there path would take them around the massive structure she was surprised when both the Kai and Ate headed directly in its direction.
