    Change – Chapter Two

    [Chapter Two]

The moment I stepped into the cafetaria, I had noticed miss Kennard, miss Peabody and mister Haspel sitting together. I knew that Mr Haspel and Ms Kennard were best friends – you would always see them hang out together. Shane had even told me that she had met them at a club together on a Saturday, once. I was shattered for a long time that I hadn’t accompanied my friend and therefore had missed the chance of my lifetime to see ms Kennard and how she was outside of school.

She came across as a very relaxed, fun person, very open. Her laugh was just gorgeous and I would have done anything to make her laugh at me like that. Hell, I would have done anything for her to notice me just once. I didn’t crave for her undivided attention at all times – I knew that it was impossible. But to have her look at me once and say something to me would have made me the happiest person on earth.

Alice made some ridiculous remark about Jenny Schecter, the school psycho and her new dream to be a writer some day. The idea of her actually writing a book made me laugh – it would be so full of crap. I sat down next to Shane and she poked me. Alice was rambling about a girl she had seen at The Planet that weekend and she didn’t notice the interaction between her two friends.

    “What is it?” I whispered.

“When we walked in, she was looking at you. She was with her back to the door and then she turned around.”

I felt my face flush. “Really? Why? Shit… ms Peabody probably told her to look at that girl coming in, the moron of the class.”

“Don’t be ridiculous. She probably told ms Kennard to look at that girl coming in, the brilliant one. And then Mr Haspel probably added something about how spectacular you did in gym this morning.”

“As if. I’m not that good.”

    “Don’t start this again.”

I looked nervously at Alice, praying she wouldn’t ask what we were talking about. I was lucky – she was really engrossed with her monologue. Suddenly, she stopped talking. “Hey – that’s Joe! Mind if I join them?”

    3. Wow, I really love this story. I know it’s really different, but that’s what’s so enticing. Bette being the shy one … hmm … lol. I love it! Can’t wait for more, and thanks for posting!

    4. I love your way with words G, I mean you are brilliant, you know exactly what to write, and I always like to write comments telling the amazing writers like yourself how they made me feel that’s why I tend to write long comments and I am glad that you like them, and “I would have kicked a puppy to be one of them for just one day” was so cute, I couldn’t shake the image out of my head. I love the real life like when you write your stories, it’s so attractive, it really makes me live with you inside that story, for me when I read for you I step inside that world and live those events and emotions with the characters, it’s a feeling of connection that I adore, not to mention it’s a beautiful period in one’s life, everything is happening to you and you find out who you are or what you are not. And I want to tell Tina something, I think it means that you have to work on bringing the two of you together, and sneaking is the best way it can happen at the time being, I find it so exciting when it’s hidden from everyone. G you are a great writer and I am so addicted to your stories, I haven’t read all of them but I am on my way there, you know there are so much to read, sometimes it’s hard to catch up with work and life interfering. Thanks a bunch my friend, I honestly can’t wait till I see you post again.Take CareLove
