“Hey girl, hold up” ,Alice tries to stop the blonde from steamrolling over her, “where are we going in such a hurry?…is there a fire?”…Alice smiles at the blonde. “the names Alice ,we haven’t met but we have something in common”
Tina looks at the stranger in front of her a little confused not knowing what she’s talking about. “I’m sorry…what are you …”
“Oh I’m sorry” Alice cuts her off, “ I’m not a stalker ,I just saw you dancing with my friend…my best friend actually…and since she didn’t bother to introduce us ,I just took the liberty of doing it myself.”
“Oh” Tina said ,as recognition dawned, “Alice, the friend who doesn’t shut up.”
Alice holds her heart and looks hurt. “You must have been hanging out with Bette too long, I see she has rubbed off on you.”
With the mention of the brunette’s name Tina looks around the club and suddenly remembers why she was in such a hurry. Ahm…excuse me Alice, but I’m in a hurry, so if you don’t mind I have to leave…It was a pleasure meeting you.”
“Same here ,but don’t I get to know your name?” but the blonde was already half way out the door. Just as Alice turned around she saw Bette coming in the same direction.. “Nice job Porter, you must have done a real number on her. You certainly have a way with the ladies”
Bette cast Alice a dirty look and pushes past her to the door
“She’s beautiful by the way” Alice shouts to Bette over the loud noise.
“Wow!” Bette was trying to catch her breath as she caught up to Tina. “Can you tell me what just happened in there? One minute we’re dancing and the next minute you’re hightailing it out of there so fast I thought the place was on fire”
“ It was nothing… I just needed some fresh air”
‘Come on Tina, talk to me…we both know it’s more than a little fresh air. I know you were feeling it too.”
Bette was right ,Tina was feeling it too ___but she wasn’t supposed to be reacting like this to a stranger, she wasn’t supposed to be feeling this way ,I don’t even know if I’m gay . “Look, Bette, I’m sorry if I gave you the wrong impression, but you caught me at a bad time. I’ve just broken up with my boyfriend and I was a little vulnerable…I ‘m not even gay…I don’t know what I was thinking…”
