Tina was furious ,who the hell was this stranger butting into her business. She didn’t need some cocky ,beautiful brunette coming to her rescue when she’s quite capable of taking care of herself. “That was brilliant. Just  brilliant. Thank you very  much . That’s just what I needed ,a woman in shining armor to rescue me from some harmless flirting. I could have handled that on my own. but no, you had to butt into something that was none of your business.”

“Oh! Is that what I was doing?” Bette said,  a hint of a smile in her voice.  “I wasn’t aware that I was rescuing you .are you angry?”

Beautiful and a sense of  humor ,not bad Tina thought.  “Funny ,real  funny”, Tina said, still furious. “yes I’m angry .why  did you butt in? why didn’t you just mind your own business.? Do you always come to the rescue of ladies you don’t know?”

“Only the beautiful ones” Bette said, trying to rattle the beautiful blonde even  more .”So! tell me, are you always this ungrateful?”

“Un…you have some nerve, did I ask for your help? Everything  was under control until you decided to butt into something that was none of your business. I’m quite capable of taking care of myself.”

“-Are you?” Bette said ,getting a little testy herself .first of all that was my sister’s club and I was just trying to prevent a scene in the middle of the day when the place was so packed…bad for business,” Bette said with a little emphasis.”I think that makes it my business.

Tina’s combative flare fizzled .she now looked flustered and annoyed with herself for losing her temper. She  extended her hand . “Tina Kennard, and I’m sorry .Thanks for coming to my rescue”
