Sunlight awakened her. Bright, brilliant rays. They slanted into the room from the open window. She rolled to her back and surveyed her surroundings with eyes suddenly wide awake. Her body was languid with a lassitude as rich as cream. It permeated every cell. Her heart beats were strong and slow. She could almost feel the movement of her blood through her veins. She never remembered being this relaxed in days. Yawning, she stretched. That’s when her foot brushed against another. Tina froze, then, slowly, she turned to her other side.
She had slept with Bette. She was naked . She noticed the article of clothing strewn over the bed and on the floor nearby. Bette was sleeping beside her, her hair was tousled and the lower half of her was shadowed by some strays. The covers were pulled up only as far as her waist. Her torso was bare.
Lying very still, hardly daring to breathe, Tina studied her. Minutes ticked by, her conscience told her to leave the bed while it was still safe. Then, when they next saw each other they would do so with clear consciences and could pretend they hadn’t shared a bed. –But she was so tired of “safe” and couldn’t force herself to move.
It was still very early and partially light in the bedroom. So she allowed herself these precious minutes in which to do exactly what she felt like doing, rather than what her conscience dictated she should. Forcible she tamped down all unpleasant thoughts about Bette and relationships. It was time she stopped listening to what everyone else had to say about Bette, and gave her a chance to prove herself. …boy is Helena going to have a field day with this one when she realizes that I have slept with Bette. ___the thought made Tina sigh ___but , I am an adult it is my life and I don’t need anyone’s permission. I can sleep with whom ever I like.
“Good morning”
At first Tina thought that Bette’s voice was a trick of her imagination. But then she saw her lips curl into that familiar smile. Her eyes remained closed.
“How long have you been awake?” Tina asked ,smiling

Oh Avant2, I so enjoy reading this story. Alpha Bette is falling hard for Ms. Kennard and I hope that Tina will give her the chance to show that she can change for the right person. Great update. Thanks.

Love it, so glad Tina gave Bette a chance. Now, the door, it could be Alice since Bette is late for breakfast but it could also be jodi, mad as hell that Bette is with someone other than her, I most certainly hope it is not jodi. Because that would ruin things for Tina. PPVS
