And what are you going to tell him ? It’s Friday night… IV was downright helpful.

Mmmh, I have to come up with something.

“Tina, did you hear me ?” Henry was miffed.

“Sorry, Henry, what was that ?” She came out of her musings by his annoyed voice.

“I said, we should get ice cream on our way home and have a nice afternoon by the pool ! Where were you ?”

“Henry, I’m sorry but I’m not feeling well right now. Maybe one of the hotdogs upset my stomach.” Tina tried to get out of the scenario created by him.

He looked her over and couldn’t help the feeling, that something was not right here. “I see.” Was all he said, clearly indicating he didn’t believer her.

They looked significantly at each other and Tina was safed by Angelica squirming on her arm.

“Mommy, home ?”

“Yes, sweety, we’re going. Henry, she is tired and really needs a nap. Can you please take us home.. My apartment, I mean, and we’ll talk later ?”

She granted him with a smile, just to make him feel better. He wasn’t easily fooled, but he was not  going to make a scene, so he nodded.

Now he got a real smile and after paying the tab, they left.

At Bette’s Shane let them on Bette’s and Helena’s whereabouts.

“Wow, that’s a nice Hotel !” Jenny remarked.

“Yeah.. and pricey too.” Alice just had to add. “The station once had a conference with potential investigators there. Just to impress them.”

“Okay, ladies, enough of them. What did the banker say ?” Shane wanted to know.

That got Alice and Jenny into another laughing-fit. They really tried to recapture the conversation, but it wasn’t easy. At last they got it out and Shane laughed heartily with them.

“That’s very good news. So now we just have to talk to Bette and be on the road to own a house.” Shane looked pleased. “By the way, Jenny, Max was looking for you. He said there was a call…”

Jenny blushed, “Oh shit. I totally forgot about her !”
