    Author Notes:

    A Bette and Tina end to what can be a new beginning. My theme: to keep Bette and Tina alive.

     

    Bette: (thinks about it) “bottled water would be nice.”

     

    Tina: (nods her head) “Sure.” (She exits the room)

     

    FADE TO BLACK

     

    That evening while Bette was resting, Tina decided to cook dinner with hoping to surprise Bette with one of her favorite dishes. While cooking the meal, Alice comes over with the bracelet Tina begged her to get while she was out. Leaving Bette’s side was something she didn’t want to do if it was even for a second. She wanted to be as close to her as she possibly can.

     

    Alice: (enters the kitchen with the small gift box) “A delivery for a Ms. Bette Porter.”

     

    Tina: (caught by surprise. She smiles, wipes her hand on the apron, and walks over to Alice.) “What would I do without your friendship?”

     

    Alice: (shrugs her shoulders and gazes down at the time.) “I don’t know, but I’m in a rush, I’m meeting Tasha at the movies in less than one hour. Do you need anything from me while I’m here?”

     

    Tina: (thinks about it and smiles at the idea) “Yes…” (She gestures Alice to follow her into the bedroom where Bette was resting.)

     

    Alice: (shakes her head) “No, way, she’s going to have a fit if we wake her up.”

     

    Tina: (chuckles and reaches for the sheets)

     

    Alice: (stops her) “Wait! Is she dressed?”

     

    Tina: (chuckles) “Of course she’s dressed. Why wouldn’t she be?”

     

    Alice: (shakes her head) “She used to sleep nude you know.”

     

    Tina: (pulls the sheets back) “I know. Just help me bring her into the kitchen, please. Bette, sweetie, wake up.” (She taps her softly)

     

    Bette: (groans) “Huh?” (She struggles to open her eyes)

     

    Alice: (worried) “This is a bad idea.”

     

    Tina: (determined grunt) “It is not. Hey, you grab that arm and I’ll grab this one.”

     

    Bette: (startled) “What’s going on?” (She looks around the room) “Why are you moving me?”

     

    Tina: “I made dinner, babe.”

     

    Bette: (tired) “Can’t you just bring it to me?”

     

    Tina: “No, you must eat in the kitchen. You almost soaked the bed the last time I gave you the soup.”

    Bette: (moans in pain) “dammit, Tina. Ouch, wait! My legs are tangled in the sheets.

    9. That was funny and very cute. Too bad it is a only one of chapters because this would be interesting to watch unfold. Like where is jodi and how did Bette get in this predicament in the first place? What is wrong with her leg? See way too many questions to leave unanswered.
