“I’m Bette Porter. I’m eighteen years old, and I’m a senior. I’m a straight A student, popular and valedictorian of my class. I should be excited, but something terrible is going to happen. I never thought in a million years that my friends would KILL me.”

            Alice walked down the hall of the prestigious San Andrea High School. She saw Shane at her locker and walked over to her. She leaned up against the lockers and watched everybody pass her.

“Hey.”

“Hey,” Shane grabbed a book out of her locker. “How was your weekend?”

“Horrible, Dana ran out on me.”

Shane closed her locker. “What happened?”

Alice sighed. “I went to kiss her, and she fell off of my bed.”

Shane laughed. “Wow Al, you really do scare them off.”

“Shut up, I really like her Shane. I don’t know what to do.”

“Just relax, everything’s going to be okay.” Carmen walked over to the two girls.

“Hey Shane,” Shane turned around and smiled.

“Hey,” she wrapped her arm around Carmen and kissed her. Carmen laid her hand on Shane’s stomach and looked at Alice.

“Hey Al, how did your night go with Dana?”  Shane laughed softly.

“I freaked her out by trying to kiss her, and she ran out of my house.”

“Aww, I’m sorry.”

“I think it’s fuckin’ hilarious.” Carmen hit Shane in her stomach.

“Thanks Shane,” Alice rolled her eyes.

“Sorry Al. She’ll come back around.” Shane and Carmen pulled away from the lockers. “C’mon, lets get the class.”

“I gotta run to the bathroom,” Alice left and walked towards the girls’ bathroom. She walked in and went over to the mirror. She checked herself out and played with her hair. She heard a whimper come from one of the stalls and turned around.

“Hello. Is anyone in here?” She walked over to the closed stall and knocked.

“Go away!” Alice stepped back.

“Tina, is that you?”

“Al?” Alice pushed on the door, and it opened.  She gasped when she saw her friend’s face.

“Tee what happened?” Tina had a bruised cheek and a busted lip. Tina shook her head. “Did Bette do this?”
