Dana was exausted. She had just finished up the interviews with two magazines. She had only one to go, with Vogue that was scheduled two days later. She sighed sitting on the couch in her living room while looking at the business card her manager gave her at Wimbledon. Alice Pieszecki, Editor New York Times. She missed the journalist very much. It had been only two weeks apart but she felt like years. She had Alice’s boss to talk her into taking up the two weeks close up interview, but surprisingly he told Tonya that the blonde had not decided yet. Dana was in a bundle of nerves now. Is the blonde going to reject it? Does she feel the same way as I do? But it seems like she does when she didn’t pull away from the hug. And she kissed me on the lips after that. Dana was pretty sure that she had done enough to show the journalist her intention but wasn’t sure whether the journalist was ready for a relationship. She needed to know what the journalist thought about her. She pulled out her cell phone from her pocket and dialed the familiar numbers.

“Hey Dane, what’s up?”

“Hey Ton, do you think you can get me a flight to New York right after the interview with Vogue?”

Alice was typing furiously on her laptop. It was 8pm but she was still in the office. Lately she tried to distract herself by working late and went to bed straight away after she got home and showered. She didn’t want to think about anything, especially the tennis player. Two weeks ago her boss had suggested her to take up the close up interview. The deadline was next Monday, therefore she had only one week to think of it. If she accepted the offer, she would have to fly to LA and followed the tennis player around for two weeks, which meant having a lot of conversations and alone times with her, and this was what Alice scared most. She scared that she couldn’t keep her hormones in check and fell in love with the tennis player. After Gabby, she had sworn that she wouldn’t get herself involved in a relationship with a player again. She would opt for an easy one that made her feel save. She did this as she couldn’t bare of being heart broken the second time. But she was pretty much surprised at herself for kissing the tennis player at the airport. She didn’t know what she was thinking at that time. No, I don’t have feelings for her. It was just a friendly kiss, she tried to convinced herself but failed miserably. Her head was full therefore she decided to take a break and tuned the radio to KCRW which was playing the song Straight Up by Paula Abdul.
