Tina walked towards Bette. Her heart was racing but she was sure than ever that she wanted to do this. She wanted to spend her life with Bette. She took the glasses and the bottle from Bette’s hands and placed it on the bedside table. She then held Bette’s hand and led her to the bed. She got the bouquet and handed it to Bette.

“You gave me a single rose to tell me your intent of dating me. Now I am giving you a dozen because my intention is much bigger than dating.” Tina spoke softly with a smile. She then got the box and presented it to Bette.

“I know I said you weren’t my type but still, Bette, will you give me the honor of becoming your wife? Will you marry me?”

Bette’s tears were now uncontrollable. She was looking forward to this day. She herself was planning on asking Tina to marry her and she beat her to the punch. “Yes.” Bette whispered and gathered Tina in her arms. “Yes! Yes!”

Tina and Bette decided to have their union celebrated around the Christmas holidays. It gave them ample time to prepare for it. Both agreed to have a very intimate setting thus their guests were only limited. They only wanted people who meant something to each and both of them.

Tina got to meet Bette’s sister Kit. She was Bette’s maid of honor during the ceremony. She was Bette’s only family left and Bette was so happy that Tina and Kit finally met. Kit of course knew Jodi and the relationship between the two made Tina feel a bit awkward but it soon faded when she got to know Kit better.

Bette also got to meet a special person in Tina’s life. Her best friend who was staying in England went to the US for the very special occasion. Bette found Helena a bit of a snob at first but the initial impression eventually wore off. Helena was warm and it is apparent that she cared deeply for her friend. She stood at Tina’s side as her maid of honor.
