Bike Ride, Life Ride – Chapter 29
Bette and Tina had a very restful and realaxing night. They were both basking in the good news of Bette’s progress and anticipating their move from the hospital over to the hotel. They fell asleep early and slept hard throughout the night. They woke up early and Tina helped Bette take a shower and dress in comfortable clothing and followed up with her own shower and dressing.
By the time Dr. Miller came by at 8am, both girls were sitting at the table in Bette’s room having easy conversation and some breakfast.
Dr. Miller said “My, my… aren’t we up and em’ this morning? You would think you were ready to go somewhere…”
Tina laughed, but Bette got a serious look on her face and said “Uh, Dr. Miller, I thought you said you were discharging me today?”… Bette was trying not to sound desperate or panicked.
Dr. Miller said “Bette, of course, I am teasing you. That is why I am here. I am signing a hospital discharge for you to continue outpatient physical therapy twice a day for the next two weeks. Then we can talk about where you are and possibly sending you home to Los Angeles to continue your recovery with a team of doctors there”.
Tina said “What do we need to do to prepare for this?”
Dr. Miller said “Obviously, Bette is still recovering and will need to rest a lot and stay off her feet. She can rest a lot more comfortably at a hotel, but she can’t really over do it. I would suggest her only outings be over here to the hospital for her twice daily physical therapy. Please don’t be late for that or I will have to bring Bette back into the hospital ( he was looking at Tina specifically) and other then that, there are no other restrictions. Tina, Bette will have to be heavily dependant on you. I will see to it that she has the proper medications to ease pain and assist with sleep, if she needs it. If you find that it is too much to take care of her, we can always bring you back here until you are strong enough to return to California”.

It’s good for Bette to get out of the hospital for the next two weeks, so they will have their privacy which they need so badly. I just hope jodi has left town and won’t be a problem for them, however I just have a bad feeling that the viper is still around. If she does how up I hope Tina gives her an a–kicking that she will long remember and then have her arrested. Maybe Bette will listen to Tina if anything happens. Thanks for posting.
‘A rose by any other name!’..just keep ’em coming, love this story
It’s good they will have a little more privacy in the hotel. Bette’s physical therapy will be grueling…I know cause I went through it myself! PPS
can’t wait to see what happens next…..ppa
At first, I thought Jodi hung the decorations. Somehow she convinced the hotel staff to let her in the room. Glad it was all Tina’s doing. If Jodi gets near them they need to taser her. That’ll set her straight. PPVS.
great update… love this story… now lets get bette better and back to L A… pps
Oh yay, hahaha, awesome.. Who cares what you call yourself as long as you’re back? hahaha, nah.. This story is amazing.. I’m glad they are out of hospital, sometimes the environment isn’t conducive to a person’s emotional healing. Bette needs to seek help over the Jodie issue and Tina needs to make Bette feel better, all over.. *wink* hahaha, thanks for this and PPVS! =))
So glad you are back. I love this story. Thanks for updating. I hope they get to see Angie soon.
Sprung at last!! :)PPS

Yay! I am so glad that they didn’t see Jodi anywhere when they got to the hotel. I still think Tina should get to kick the crap out of her. PPS
So glad that you are continuing with this story. Can’t wait for more. Kick jodi’s gluteus and keep Bette safe from her.
Glad you are back.Great update.PPS
I didn’t expect it you so soon update but I’m very glad. YAYYY!! :o) PPS
The welcome sign and candles were so sweet! I’m just hoping they don’t have any run-ins with Jodi. Something tells me she might still be in the hood.
So great that Bette’s out of the hospital. Am sure it will do her a world of good. Thank you for continuing with this story. Love it.
