    Chapter Seventeen (Finale)

    Chapter Seventeen

     

    A Few Weeks Later

     

    “I can’t believe graduation is here already.” Tina told Bette. They were sitting together in the cafeteria. Bette had her arm around Tina’s shoulders, holding the blonde close.

    “I know, Tee” Bette replied. “It was only a few months ago that you were the most hated person on campus”

    Tina smiled at this. “You changed me for the better, babe” she placed a sweet kiss on Bette’s lips. “I didn’t think I would have been able to graduate, but thanks to you here I am.”

    “Soon, it will be time to start college.”

    Tina and Bette had applied to UCLA and they both got accepted. Which was great? Since they were both excited for the opportunity explore their relationship more.

    The entire incident with the posters and videos had sparked a lot of awareness about gay bashing and homophobia. The school had started a LGBT club in support of making the campus a safer place for everyone. Tina had been elected the president of the club. It had been surprising how many persons had turned up for the first meeting.

     

    Bette’s father had not taken the news of her being gay pretty well. Her mother had been supportive and had finally gotten the courage to kick the bottle and her husband to the curb. She’d told Bette about the moaning she’d heard from her from her room whenever Tina had came over to study.

    After obtaining the evidence needed to prove Bette’s innocence. Eric and Henry were arrested and charged for their crimes including attempted rape. The bastard had even tried to maintain his innocence but Henry being scared had squealed on him. He wouldn’t be seeing the light of day for a long time.

    “Hi” Alice said taking a seat opposite the lovebirds. “So, how is it going?”

    “Great” Both of them answered together, holding on tighter to each other. “Never been better.” Bette nuzzled Tina’s nose.

    Alice had finally revealed her relationship with Dana, the tennis player. Tina couldn’t believe she’d been that blind to everything.

    Shane had asked Carmen out and now they were dating steady Bette was happy Shane had found someone to love. And Helena dated everything in her skirt. She was rich and could get anyone and anything she wanted.
