    Tina’s Thoughts

    Tina watched Alice drag Bette away, desperately wanting to
    go after her. She hadn’t expected Bette to be at the dinner. She knew that
    Shane would have invited her for the wedding obviously, but the wedding was
    four days away. Bette was going to be in LA for all that time?

     

    Tina couldn’t remember the last time that she’d heard of
    Bette being in LA for a day at least. Bette had never attempted to contact her
    or see her whenever she was in LA.

    But Tina hadn’t made the effort to see or speak to Bette
    throughout those five years. Tina had moved on, hadn’t she? She had a beautiful
    girlfriend. Hannah was smart, funny, a good listener, everything that anyone
    could ever want in a girlfriend.

    But she wasn’t Bette.

     

    Surely after years of dreaming, thinking about Bette,
    imagining her while having ***** with Hannah, nearly saying Bette’s name in bed,
    turning Hannah down two years ago when she asked Tina to marry her, Tina would
    realise that she was not happy in this life without Bette.

     

    Tina was floored when she saw Bette. Partially because she
    was stunning, she always had been.

    She was sad that Bette never tried to hug herand irritated
    at how calm Bette had seemed. Was she completely over Tina? Is that why she
    found it so easy?

    It had only gotten awkward when Bette had mentioned the
    house, and cat. Had Alice told her everything about Tina’s new life?

     

    Tina knew as soon as she had returned to Hannah, who had put
    an arm round her waist and whispered into her ear,

    “Baby, who was that?”

    That she had to see Bette again. She needed to talk to her,
    and find out how she felt somehow.

     

    And yeah Tina was still in love with Bette. Who wouldn’t be?

    Tina knew it. Her friends knew it. Tina knew that her
    friends knew that she was still in love with Bette.

    But would Tina ever admit it to herself again?
