    Author Notes:

    The plan is in action, Bette and Tina are talking, someone’s interrupting.

    Tina smiled at me, “Could you help me with this?” she
    gestured to the streamer-y stuff.

    I returned her smile, “Of course.”

     

    She climbed back up the stepladder and I handed the stuff to
    her, our hands touched for the first time in five years. I felt a tingle
    spreading from my fingers up my arm to my face. I knew I was probably blushing.

     

    Tina looked down at me and smiled. I stepped back and took
    her arm as she climbed down from the stepladder.

     

    She looked at me “Sodo you need help with those cups?”

     

    I laughed and went to sit down at the table near the cups.

     

    “Umyeah, as organising cups go I’m pretty bad at it.”

    She joined me at the table and we sat for a few seconds,
    looking at each other.

     

    I was getting sick of not speaking my mind. But I exhaled
    the breath I was holding.

     

    “SoShane’s getting married. Wow” I said, not really
    knowing what to say.

     

    Tina nodded, “I know, five years ago I’d never had imagined
    it. She seems so happy. I’m really happy for her.”

     

    I smiled, “Me too, she deserves it.”

     

    Tina stared at something non existent, as if she was
    speaking her mind, “Yeah, she’s helped me out a lot over the years.”

     

    I knew she was implying when I’d had the affair, and when
    she left me.

    I squirmed slightly, the urge to say nothing was too great.

     

    “You know Tina,” I said gently, “Do we need to do this?”

     

    She looked at me, knowing fine well what I meant.

     

    “Do what?”

     

    “This!” I gestured towards her and myself.

     

    “I mean, I’ve just come back from New York, I was away for
    four years. And now I’m here, and you’re here. And I think we owe it to
    ourselves after all we’ve been through to tell each other what’s really going
    on.”

     

    I leaned forward, closer to her, placing my hand gently on
    her arm

     

     

    Meanwhile

     

    Alice was balancing on top of a couple of crates at the back
    of the Planet, peering through one of the windows.

    She cursed to herself, “Goddamnit! Why can’t I hear what
    they’re saying?”

    Just thenAlice heard her phone ring.

    11. so hannah is going to be hurt because bette and tina will get back together.i wnder it the girls ever told hannah that bette and tina will never really be over.hannah should of thought about a relationship with tina, but she didnt think bette would come back to la. i like the fact after five years the love is still there. please dont hurt hannah’s feelings to much when u break them up.
