Bette: “Will she be doing it?”

Tina: “She’s set us up with another doctor in her clinic that deals more with family planning, but she’ll still be working with us.”

Bette: “Well, how long am I going to be out of work?”

Tina: “Not more than a few hours.”

Bette: “Really? That soon?”

Tina: “Yeah, how long did you think it took?”

Bette: “I don’t know…..I’m not sure how all of this works.”

Tina laughs, “You really need to get more involved. The worst part is the needle.”

Bette’s eyes widen with fear, “Needle? Nobody mentioned a needle.”

Tina: “Baby, calm down…how did you think they were going to do it? It’s not like a man donating sperm….you can’t just ejaculate an egg.” She laughs uncontrollably.

Bette rolls her eyes, “I know that. I’m not stupid, but you know, I hate shots.”

Tina: “I know, but like I said you can still go back to work afterwords so it can’t be that bad. They just use the needle to extract the eggs from your ovaries.”

Bette groans, “Oohhh….why don’t we just forget the whole thing and adopt?”

Tina playfully throws a pillow at Bette, “Quit being such a baby….I’m the one that has to carry the baby and go through the pain of child breath.”

Bette: “See all the more reason we should adopt. Less pain.”

Tina can see a grin forming around Bette’s lips. She lays her head on Bette’s chest and looks into her eyes, “Baby, if you really want to adopt then I guess that’s ok with me.”

Bette: “No, it’s going to be fine. I want to have this baby with you.”

Tina begins to get up, “Good because I wasn’t serious about adopting.”

Bette jumps up and playfully drags Tina back onto the bed, wrestling her down, “OHHH…..you’ll pay for that one.”

Tina raises her eyebrows, “OOooo…..that sounds fun. I’ve been really bad.”

Bette laughs, “You *****! Come on I’m hungry.”

Tina: “I can fix that.”

Bette grins, “Maybe later.” She walks into the bathroom and leaves Tina begging on the bed.

Tina: “Pleeaassseee….”

Bette yells back, “Please what?”

Tina: “Please come back here and and lay with me.”

Bette: “Baby, I’ve been laying with you all night.”

Tina: “Yeah, but we were asleep.”
