Shane:  oh thank God Kit is walking up to the mic…

Dana:  yeah… I was just going to get up myself…

Kit:  ladies and gentleman… before we start playing tonight… I have a special treat for you all…

Bette and Tina look at each other… both a little worried… they had hoped Kit would announce their song a little later in the evening…

Kit:  there is a special lady sitting out there… while I was growing up she was the only one in my corner… the only one praising me for my singing… encouraging me to follow my dream… and to make sure I pleased myself first…

Again Bette and Tina just look at each other…

Kit:  this woman changed my life around, I don’t know where I would be today if I didn’t listen to her… and I thank God I did… now with a little help from every one… I would like to bring her up here and maybe she would sing a song with me… the one we always sang together… What do you say Mama M…

The crowd became very vocal… not only because they all loved Kit… but because of the story Kit had shared with them… they couldn’t image the world without Kit’s voice… so they all stood and clapped as Lexi made her way to the stage…

Lexi:  I hope everyone will be kind… it’s been a while since I sang with Kit… 

Kit:  it’s like riding a bike… Kit motioned to Carmen to start playing… and as soon as the music started… again everyone cheered…

Everyone was up and shouting and dancing… when the song ended, Lexi and Kit both hugged each other…

The crowd continued to go wild… all wanting more…

Kit:  I think we should give her a chance to catch her breath…

Lexi:  nonsense… I would like to also share a story… I always had the radio on and we were always singing… this one day the song “Love Potion Number 9” was playing… I picked up Lizzie and I was singing it to her… dancing all around… she was trying to follow the words, and by the end of the song she did have part of the chorus down so she was also singing, when it ended I sat down with her on my lap… and I could tell she was thinking… and she finally said… Mommy did you have to drink that love potion to love me, cause I know I don’t have to drink any… I love you so much…
