Lexi: I guess he forgot the problems we went through when we were going to get married… thank God times have changed…
Tina: I always wanted to say that to him… but out of respect to Bette I never did…
Bette: well trust me I have told him… and of course he said that was different… “at least I married a woman”…
Lexi: and if I would have listened to my family… I wouldn’t of had the most beautiful, wonderful daughter any mother could of asked for…
Tina: and I thank you for her… (Smiling)
Lexi: I also think Bette is very thankful for your parents…
Bette: you got that right…
Just then the front door opened and in walked Kit… Bette grabbed Lexi and took her into the pantry…
Kit: I see you all and I don’t believe it… here I thought Linda might need some help, because I would of bet the farm those two would still be in bed… and I don’t mean sleeping…
Bette: and you would of lost…
Kit: oh there you are…
Bette: just getting another can of coffee… I’m sure the girls will be here soon…
Kit: I think maybe later… they had a late night too… and I see some one beat me to bagels… so I’m glad I have donuts…
Tina: looks like you also had a late night… Anthony still sleeping…
Kit: he should be… I wore him out…
Linda: it’s a good thing Tessa doesn’t understand…
Tina: now come on mom… you also look a little tired…
Linda: ok… for arguments sake… we all are very tired… but I wouldn’t have missed this morning for the world…
Tina: you can say that again…
Kit: besides the obvious… what made this morning special…
Bette: a special visitor…
Kit: (Smiling)… I’m so sorry it’s your time of the month…
They all laugh…
Bette: you are way off sister…
Kit: ok so who and where is this special visitor… because I know Melvin didn’t beat me here this morning… and you all wouldn’t be smiling the way you are…
Bette: what did you say…
Kit: I can’t believe how mad he was this morning… I could hardly hear him over the yelling… something about you not leaving him a ticket at the door…
Just then Lexi walked out from the back of the kitchen and just stood there… Kit was still rambling on about how mad Melvin was… she nodded her head to say Hi… and continued talking… and drinking her coffee… everyone just looked at her… and then as if she had seen a ghost… Kit put her cup down an turned and was starring at Lexi… then all of a sudden the two of them just smiled from ear to ear and Kit jumped up and ran to her…
Kit: OMG… mama M… it that really you…
Lexi: Kit… have I missed you…
They both embrace… laughing and crying at the same time… soon Bette, Tina and Linda also started crying… but they were Happy Tears… when they all finally sat back down…
Kit: I need to hear this story…
Bette: and I know mom will tell you soon enough… but go back to what you said a few minutes ago…
Kit: oh Hell… HE IS COMING OVER…
Bette: and I don’t want him to see mom…
Linda: let me take Lexi back to my place… Melvin wouldn’t think twice about her being there… that is if he heard any rumors about last night…
Lexi: even if he did… he was never interested in my paintings… and even less what name I used… so he wouldn’t put 2 and 2 together…
Tina: I wouldn’t underestimate him…
Bette: Tina is right… mom you go with mom… let us handle Melvin… besides he has never set one foot into this house before…
Tina: he’s scared he will turn gay…
Lexi: Bette I see what you see in Tina… not only is she beautiful… and smart… but what a sense of humor…
Linda: ok let’s get going… before he decides to come over early…
THE FRONT DOOR BELL RINGS…
Bette: oh FUCK ME…
Tina looks out the side window…
Tina: oh yeah… let the games begin…

WOW!!! I am glad Bette didn’t send her mom away. With all those women in the house they can send Melvin running away and fast. Glad you are doing better. Thank you PPVS!!!

Oh my goodness, I just knew Lexi was her mother but I was wrong about Patrick, I thought he was her brother. Such a terrible time she went through with that bastard. Hope he doesn’t cause a stink in their home because Bette’s mom is in the house. So is Lexi’s real name Maxine, since Kit called her mamaM? Hope Patrick is up to manhandling him but then, Tina could probably take him herself, she is quite a girl. And when she is being protective of Bette, look out she will wipe the floor with him. Course, it takes Peggy to tear him a new behind. Can hardly wait to see what happens next. PPS

So glad that you came back with an update. I missed this story. Sorry I didn’t read it sooner. I went on vacation to North Carolina and experienced a Hurricane Irene. Finally returned back to my current place of residence in Brooklyn New York. This update was amazing by the way. As Tina said- “Let the games begin”.
OMG good to see you back and that was awesome, poor Lexi and glad she and Bette are ok now. Now let see how they handle melvin. Please post more, thanks!

Wow i’ve just read your 299th chapter without reading the first 298 posts and i can still say that this is one hell of a story:-) honestly the numbers are quite intimidating but i have all the time in the world so i’ll start digging the archives now.lol. Its funny that I can remember No 1 chapter. Each one after that,dont get tocomment anymore but stil on yours. I have loved this from the beginning loved this chapter. Melvin is a grade “A” hole. To even hit a female.but back then she was her husbands she had no rights at all. So glad that Bette has her Mom,and her dad is at the door and S&^it is going to hit the fan. Bet {I hope that Melvinloses} Knowning Tina and Bette I bet he does. So glad that you are feeling better and hope you remain to do do. Thanks for posting bvh
