    First day home

     

     

     

    Dr. Wilson:  Good morning ladies… and good morning to you little lady… lets have a look at you… the nurses are correct…

     

    Bette:  What are they correct about…

     

    Dr. Wilson:  She is one beautiful baby… take her home before we decide to keep her…

     

    Tina:  I think Bette would fight till her death… and then you would have me to deal with…

     

    Dr. Wilson:  Then I guess I will have to settle for seeing her at all of your appointments… which Tina I want to see you in 2 weeks… go home and enjoy…

    Bette and Tina were both excited to take their baby home… they both dressed her in the outfit that Linda had brought to the hospital… she was all in pink… and she never even batted an eye while they fussed over her… the nurse walked in… again handing them a gift set…
     
    Nurse:  Here take this home with you… this way Bette can also feed the baby and get her used to a bottle…
     
    Bette:  Thanks I can’t wait to feed her…
     
    Tina:  As long as I get to hold you while you feed her..
     
    Bette:  I wouldn’t want it any other way…
     
    Nurse:  I will miss you two… (Picking up the baby)… and you little one… I will miss you… now you be a good girl for your mommies…
     
    Bette: Ok let me get these things to the car… and we can be on our way…
     
    Tina: I bet we surprise everyone at home…
     
    Nurse:  So you think you have a house full…
     
    Bette:  I know we have a full house… her parents are staying with us for a few days… and I know our sisters will be there and the rest of our family…
     
    Nurse:  Well you go home and make sure she rests Bette…don’t let her do to much…
     
    Bette:  Not a chance… I will be taking good care of my wife and baby…
     
    Nurse:  Like I said before… Tina you are a lucky lady…
     
    Tina:  We will miss you too… and with luck Bette will be pregnant in about 18 months…
     
    Nurse:  Well I hope the next 18 months goes by quick…

     

    Bette:  Well not to quick… I want to enjoy this baby first…

    1. That was a sweet and loving chapter Amanda. Grandmothers always know best about how to care for a newborn. That was a great idea to showcase the children’s artwork, they need the encouragement and it makes them feel very special. Leave it to Peggy to get involved in something and make the big deal, which will be good for Tina when she is ready to go back to work. Head of a studio which we know she will be great at doing that job. Great post Amanda. Post when you can.

    11. Hello AMG, Great to have you back and posting more of this delightful and delicious tale. How sweet and Precious were Bette and Tina fussing over this daughter. It was so funny and natural for all of the family to be making everything of Tessa and completely ignoring her parents. Good to see that addressed a little.
