It’s been a week since Tina last seen Bette. She barely got out of bed the first two days, the only reason she did was Dylan. Even he missed Bette. ‘God what am I doing?’ Tina thought. ‘This is torture. I should just go to her.’ But then those words echoed in here head ‘Can’t you see how much you’re hurting me’ the last thing I wanted was to hurt her… I can’t go on like this and I can’t make her go on like this.’

Tina got up walking to the kitchen she poured herself some orange juice.

“What’s going on with you? You’ve been walking around like a ghost for the last week.” Eric said.

“Did you try to seduce Bette?” Tina asked.

“Is that it? She got it all wrong.” Eric said, “Is that why you’re so sad?”

“No.” Tina sighed, “I know you’ve been cheating Eric.”

“What?” Eric said, “Listen I don’t have time for this now.”

“You are, aren’t you?” Tina said realizing she was right.

    “Look honey…”

Tina started laughing, “This is rich”

Eric looked confused, “Aren’t you mad?”

“No” Tina said smiling for the first time in a week.

    “Why?”

“Because I don’t love you anymore” She blurted.

    “What?” Eric said getting angry.

“And you don’t love me. Come on Eric this wasn’t working for a lot of time”

“So what are you suggesting? Separation?” Eric spat out.

    “Yes!” Tina exclaimed.

    “How would that look?”

“Eric, we are not good together.” Tina begged.

“What about Dylan?” Eric asked sitting down again.

“You didn’t even want him!” Tina said raising her voice.

“I know, but he’s my son I guess. I should have some sort of relationship with him.” Eric started to calm down.

“Don’t do this just because of a feeling of obligation.” Tina said.

Eric sighed, “This is not the life I wanted…”

    “What?”

“This, here is not what I imagined. It’s like someone else is living my life someone I don’t know. Someone I feel sorry for.”

    1. “You’re my happy ending” has got to be the best line! I’m sad to see this story end, but it was a great way to end. I’m glad that things went easily with Eric. Who needs a big mess! Thanks for making my day better and for posting this wonderful story!

    2. Great finish. Its not an easy end, it also is a possible ending in real life. It was an oportunity for Eric to get out of his marriage and daddy’s role. They all are gaining in this. Eric has got his freedom back without a child he didn’t want in the first place and Tina can have her family life with the one she loves and who loves her son as her own, so bless them.Thank you for sharing ths story with us.
