Alice and Howie were driving down to the planet with the music pumping out of the stereo and the windows rolled down the sun was just going in but it was still fairly warm. When they got to the Planet they jump out of the car and went in Kit was at the counter. ” Hey baby girl what brings you here? Oh and Howie it is nice to see you again.” Howie waved and said hello to Kit. Alice turned to Kit. ” Am good Kit thank you I am just coming to pick up some take out for me Dane, How and Sharon were are having a farewell dinner for the condo.” ” Oh all of you I didn’t know you had ordered.” ” Yeah I called and spoke to Lara.” ” Oh ok well I will go and see how it is coming.” Kit walked into the Kitchen and came out about two minute later. ” Hey yeah she is just bagging everything up she said she will bring it out in a second.” ” Ok cool so how you doing Kit I haven’t really had chance to speak with you in a while.” ” I know you and baby girl have been busy.” ” Yeah it is kind of hectic at the minute since we got home first the article then my apartment then the promotions and now sorting everything out.” The two hadn’t noticed Lara had come out of the kitchen with two bags full of food. ” Hey Alice here is your food is Dana not with you.” ” Oh know but Lara meet Dana’s younger brother Howie.” ” Howie this is Lara Perkins.” ” Hi it is nice to meet you Lara.” ” You to Howie.” ” So Alice how is the house?” Kit asked Lara’s eyes opened wide. ” Oh actually we just got back from there it is so amazing I think I am still a little over whelmed with it. But you guys are coming over on Thursday right to help us?” ” Oh yeah we are all coming me and Tina have food covered to.” “Great.” ” Are you moving house Alice?” Lara asked innocently Kit just smirked. ” What. Oh yeah I am.” Howie walked over and took the bags off Lara as Alice paid Kit. ” She has bought a house with my big sis on the beach apparently it is hot but I am yet to have the pleasure of seeing it.” ” Wow Al that is huge you and Dana living together. And buying a house.” ” We have been living together for a month Lara and well we were virtually living together for 7 months before that.” ” Really I didn’t know you guys had moved in together. I haven’t seen you around to much.” ” Yeah had a lot of things to sort out the article and then finding a house and moving stuff we actually just picked up the keys today.” The last part was directed at Kit. ” Girl you must be so excited.” ” Yeah I can’t believe it we are going furniture shopping tomorrow Dana has this idea that we have to by everything new because this is the start of our future. She is so excited.” ” Aww very Dana.” Kit replied. ” And her big lezzy Pepsi sponsored pay check can now afford to waste some money on over priced furniture too.” Howie stated. Alice smacked him upside the head. ” Come on How lets get this stuff home Dana will be wasting away and I still need her alive and kicking for a few more hours.” ” Eww over share Al.” ” Your just jealous that you don’t have a tanned toned athlete to go home to.” ” As long as it is not big sis then yeah I would be jealous.” ” Bye Kit, Lara.” ” Yeah later Kit it was nice to meet you Lara.” ” Yeah you to Howie and Alice tell Dana I said hi” Alice nodded her reply and exited the planet.————————–MEANWHILE BACK AT THE CONDO———————– Dana and Sharon had set the table for dinner and were sitting in the den talking. ” Dana sweetie I am really happy for you and Alice I know I found it hard at first and I didn’t deal with the hole thing very well. First you coming out and then Tonya but she seemed ok and you looked happy with her. Then when you told me about the wedding being off and you and Alice were now together I guess I over reacted.” ” Mom it is ok at least you reacted it shows that you care about what happens to me you know me and Al we are so different or well we aren’t different but we had very different child hoods you know.” ” What do you mean Dane.” ” Well you and dad were always there for me as a kid if I ever needed to talk or I was upset or just needed some affection you guys were there. But Alice well her dad died when she was ten and well Lenore she is Lenore that is the only way to describe her. She never really shows any affection to Alice it isn’t that she is nasty she just seems so blas about everything that happens in her life. Alice told me once that when she was younger she used to love it when her mom was home from the set and she didn’t have a boy friend they would go out to dinner or go shopping and she felt so grown up. But she shouldn’t have needed to feel grown up she was supposed to be a kid.” ” Well honey we all have different up bringing’s it makes us who we are.” ” I Know and I would never change a single thing about Alice except maybe she would let everybody see her for who she really is. I mean I feel so happy because I am the only one who really sees her but I feel like our friends and family miss out on it because she has built these walls to protect her self and that is because of her childhood her farther dying her mom ignoring her. She told me once that I have learnt to look after myself I have been doing it for a long time and it is really hard to now have somebody willing to do anything for me.” ” Well that has changed now.” ” I know at first it took a long time for me to make her realize that I wasn’t going to leave her. Not that I could if I wanted to.” ” You know sweetie you are an amazing person and Alice is lucky to have you and I am sorry I never realized how much she meant to you before.” ” It is ok you see it now and that is all that counts.” ” I wonder what is taking them so long honey Alice said she would be ten minutes is this place far away.” ” No it is not too far it can get pretty busy of an evening they shouldn’t be to long I just hope Lara hasn’t started anything with Alice.” ” Lara who is Lara.” ” Oh she is an old girl friend from before Tonya and well she was flirting with me about a month ago and well Alice doesn’t really like her and I must admit I am not to fond of her at the moment I never thought she would sink as low as trying to make Alice jealous.” ” It does seem very petty but don’t worry sweetie Howie is with her I am sure he will look after her. They have a very strange connection I must say.” ” Yeah Alice is great with him they are addicted to music I sit there most of the time oblivious to what they are talking about” ” Oh yes remember Howie coming home one day saying that he was on a mission to get Al to play the guitar for him. I didn’t even know she could play she doesn’t look very rock and roll.” ” Ha yeah she did play in a band in college apparently they were quite good.” ” Does she still play?” ” You know she doesn’t. I have heard her a couple of times in the 8 years I have known her and I wish she would play more because I think she is very good.” The two hadn’t heard Alice and Howie return because they were deep in conversation. ” You have to say that Dane I am your girl friend.” ” Jesus Alice scare the hell out of us why don’t you.” ” Oh sorry I thought you would have heard us come in sorry we took so long.” ” It is ok you are here now was it busy.” ” No not really.” Sharon looked at Dana then asked. ” Well what happened then.” ” Oh we were talking to Kit and some chick named err Al what was her name she seemed a bit grumpy to me. Red heads they are known for their temper.” ” Howard do not call women chicks and do not talk about people hair color in that manor.” ” Sorry mom.” Alice smiled at how quick Howie quiets down. ” Al what did Lara say and why was she grumpy?” ” Oh Howie told her that is big sis was buying a house with me and that she is a big Pepsi sponsored famous tennis player or something.” ” Did she say anything to you?” ” She didn’t really have chance but she did say to tell you she said Hi. Babe can we not talk about Lara now she bores me.” ” Ok lets eat.” They all sat around the table Alice taking out the food and dishing it up Dana head straight for the Humus and bread. Alice smacked her hand away while she was trying to serve which caused Sharon to laugh and Dana to pout. ” Al hurry up why do we have to wait to eat.” ” Geez Dana have some bread and humus so impatient.” ” Thank you.” Alice lent over Dana to start dishing out there food after she had finished Howie and Sharon. Dana had a big chunk of bread in her hand with ridiculous amount of humus on. As Alice lent over her Dana waved it in front of her face asking if she wanted a bite. Alice nodded in reply as Dana let her take a bite. ” Thank you baby.” ” No problem. Al do you want me to open a bottle of wine with dinner.” ” Oh yeah sure white though everybody has chicken.” ” Ok.” Howie smiled at his sister. ” What do I have food on my face or something what are you smiling at.” ” Oh nothing you just look happy.” Everyone turned to look at Howie with puzzled faces and Dana replied. ” That is because I am How but you don’t normally smile at me when am happy so what gives.” ” What I know your happy but I mean this is the first time in my whole life I have ever seen you over the top happy truly happy you know I just kind of like it.” ” Well thank you Howie and you are right I am truly happy.” ” Good you deserve to be Dane.” Dana put down the wine bottle that she was opening and walked over to Howie and gave him a hug and tussled his her. ” God I try to be nice and you mess up my hair.” They all sat and ate a very nice dinner and polished off the wine. Once Howie and Sharon had gone home it was about 10 p.m so Alice decided they should take a shower and then head to bed because they had a day filled with furniture shopping to do tomorrow. The shower led to shower sex so once that was done they got into there bed clothes and climbed under the covers into each others arms. ” Ahh I feel so much better now after that Al.” ” After what the shower or the sex.” ” Both.” ” Yeah me to. You know I love you so much and I am so happy.” ” I know and I love you to I am getting so excited about everything my mom and I talked while you were at the planet and I know she gets it now.” ” Good I know it has made you happy which makes me happy to.” ” I just want you to know that I am always going to love you ok if ever something happened I will always love you and don’t let me or anybody else tell you other wise.” ” Dane nothing is going to happen and if it does then you should do the same with me and know that I will forever love you and I would never be able to change that but nothing is going to happen this is it I know it you and me yeah we may hit bumps but we will work through them together and also if we know we will always love each other then we can remind each other of this conversation and we wont be able to do anything about it because we will always love each other.” ” I like that it is like our secret commitment to one another.” ” Yep you are stuck with me now.” ” Oh well I really like being stuck with you I really like it a lot.” ” I like being stuck with you to.” The two kissed and touched for a while never taking it any further they just wanted to enjoy the moment that they were sharing until they drifted off to sleep holding onto each other.
