Chapter 48

Jackie offered to do the dinner dishes. She knew it had been a stressful day for Bette. She had to wonder to herself just how Bette could appear to be so well put together most of the time – but yet so hopelessly neurotic at other times. Jackie had to smile as she thought about the expression on Bette’s face when she brought up the ice cream. Yes – she had seen them – but – as usual had thought it was sweet. She was still amazed at the love between her daughter and her ‘Sunshine’. Bette was her ‘Sunshine’ in so many ways. She always made Jackie laugh – she made Tina happy – and she knew that Bette really loved her – lately a side of Bette had emerged that was so tender – so sweet. Jackie really felt at home with her ‘two girls’. She didn’t think she had ever been so happy – so content. And the fact that Bette had gone out of her way to find a doctor to review her case – well, that was just the most special thing anyone had ever done for her. She looked forward to the appointment that was scheduled for two weeks from today.

Jackie heard Bette and Tina laughing in the bedroom and smiled again. She was sure that they were making love – again. “Little ***** bunnies!” Jackie laughed. “Come on Jake – let’s go to bed. Wanna cookie – you’ve been such a good boy today! No thongs! What a good boy! Hey Jake – tomorrow Tina and Sunshine are throwing a pool party. You’re invited – and your going surfing. Sunshine said so. And you get to torment Dana again! Come on now – let’s go to bed!”

Bette and Tina were lying in bed just looking into each others eyes and enjoying each others company. They were both naked. They both felt totally comfortable with that. Bette slid her body down the bed so that she was facing Tina’s belly. “Hey you two. I love you. Guess what? Mommy picked out everything for your room. Muppet Babies! Now I know you had other ideas – but we had to do something that would be gender neutral – I’ll explain what that means another time. You know what you two ? You are going to be the most loved babies ever born. What’s that ?- No Dylan – we are not going to love you more than Taylor – don’t get your sister upset! It’s ok – I forgive you!” Bette slid her body back up so she was again looking into Tina’s eyes.

Tina looked at Bette with adoration. “Baby – you are just so sweet. You are going to be such a great mom.” Tina lifted her hand and caressed Bette’s cheek. You are so beautiful Bette – just so beautiful. I’m so lucky to have you – we all are.” Tina leaned over and kissed Bette once and then again. Tina could feel herself getting wet just thinking about making love to Bette. “I want you to know that I’ll never stop loving you – I’ll always be in love with you. You make me feel so special. And when you make love to me…well…it’s just the most special feeling. God I adore you Bette.” Tina continued to caress Bette’s cheek – Bette tilted her head and kissed Tina’s hand. Bette placed her hands on Tina’s belly and let them rest there. She felt so connected to them – all three of them.

Bette moved her hand up and ran her fingers through Tina’s hair. “Tina – I am so in love with you – I still can’t believe at times that you have chosen to spend your life with me. Sometimes I really don’t feel like I deserve you.” Bette moved her hands back down to Tina’s belly and caressed it’s roundness. “This is our family Tina – our family!”

“Yeah Baby – this is our family – OUR family!’ Tina ran her finger across Bette’s collar bone. “I really think I’m going to melt Bette. Your collar bone is fantastic – not that the rest of you isn’t. But God – that ***** collar bone! I can’t get enough of it!”

“Tina?”

“Yeah Baby?”

“I want to be inside you – do you mind if I put myself inside you?”

Tina took hold of Bette’s hand and guided it to the wetness between her legs. Bette tentatively touched her. Tina’s eyes filled with tears. “Please Bette…please…I want you inside me…please Baby…” Bette slid three fingers into Tina – Tina contracted around her fingers. “Make love to me Baby…please. I want you to make love to me…please.” Bette’s desire was evident in her eyes – she kept them focused on Tina’s face – she gazed into her eyes as she gently used her fingers to make love to Tina. Tina was panting with desire. She grabbed Bette’s hand and pushed it deeper into her. She moaned loudly – and then buried her head into her pillow to stifle her scream – her scream of pleasure.

Bette kept her fingers inside Tina – she kept them still until the last wave of Tina’s ***** washed over her. Bette kissed Tina – sucking her lower lip into her mouth. “I love you so much Tina – I want it to always be like this.”

“Baby – I want you to do yourself…please…you’re so ***** when you do that. I want to watch you like I did that other time. I want to watch your face.” Bette moved her hand down her body – Tina continued to look into Bette’s eyes. “My God Tina…I love you so much. I can feel your lips all over my body – you’re masterful – the way you make love to me is perfect- Baby – you’re perfect. Please touch me – right there.” Bette moved Tina’s hand to her breast – Tina teased the nipple that became hard the instant she touched it.

“Like this Baby – do you want it like this?’ Tina continued to gaze into Bette’s eyes.

“Yes Tina – like that…I…I…”

“Bette – move your fingers in and out of yourself – faster – pretend my tongue is inside you. Come on Bette – I need to see you when you ***** – I have to see you…please ***** now Baby!”

Bette let out a heavy sigh as ripple after ripple of ***** washed over her body. Her body trembled. She never once stopped looking into Tina’s eyes. Bette began to cry. Tina kissed away her tears and held her tight.

They fell asleep in each others arms – both feeling content – both feeling completely vulnerable – both feeling totally safe in the others arms.
