Shane wakes up in the morning and looks at the alarm clock. And see’s that its 8:30

Shane: eight thirty, ok (rolling over) EIGHT THIRTY!! Shit

Carmen: huh…

Shane: we gotta get shay up, its 8:30!

Carmen: shit!

Shane: (running down the hall) Shay!! Wake up!! Its 8:30

Shay: (playing XBOX, laying across his bed with a bowl of cereal) I know…

Shane: dude come on you have school

Shay: it’s a teacher in service day, I don’t go to school until weds day.

Shane: are you pulling a fast one?

Shay: no I promise look heres the paper(handing her the flyer)

Shane read the paper over and took a sigh of relief.

Shane: well ok, I thought you were going to be late. See ya later

Shay: see ya

Shane goes back into the bedroom. And gets back in bed

Carmen: shane get up shay has school.

Shane: nope, teacher in service, hes out for two days

Carmen: whew ok, is he hungry did he say

Shane: babe he’s on xbox and eating cereal. We have that big meeting today at twelve, but you don’t have to go, I know you haven’t felt so good

Carmen: I can make it babe, im just slow and fat now

Shane: your not fat just pregnant and beautiful

Carmen: what ever you say, but im going to see this bitch…what are we going to do with shay?

Shane: he’s a big boy, he can stay here. Just tell him to lock the doors, im not expecting anything to happen but just incase.

Carmen lays her head on shanes shoulder and sighs. Carmen wraps her arm lovingly around her wife.

Shane: just a little bit longer my love, and our family will be complete.

Carmen: yea, can you believe it?

Shane: nope…

Carmen: and why not?

Shane: I don’t know. It just doesn’t feel real yet. Maybe when were rushing out of the door to a football game with a car seat it’ll feel real.

Carmen: I can see that. But he’s not playing football, im ok with basketball and baseball. But no football.

Shane: he already said he wants to play, babe we agreed that we’ll support what ever he and the little one coming wants.
