    Author Notes:

    Bette is Tina’s only friend at her new high school, but a surprise is at hand.


    First day of school senior year, Tina was new to the high school and had been worried this school year.  She was very pissed off at her parents who made her transfer to another school due to Tina’s “unhealthy” feelings for her classmate.  All summer they put Tina in therapy sessions hoping to scare her back into being straight.
    As Tina made her way up the stairs into the school, she suddenly tripped over the first step.  All the books she had been carrying flew all over the place as she hit her head on the last step, not to mention the mocca latte she had just bought split all over the concrete.  Tina was trying not to notice all the other student laughing and pointing at her, she thought “what a great first impression  I made on the whole student body.”
    “Allright, break it up. GET TO CLASS” said a friendly voice. “Do you need some help?”
    Tina saw her for the first time standing over her at first, then kneeling, helping Tina gather her things.
    Bette: You must be new here, I don’t remember seeing you last year.
    Tina: Yep, I’m new here, quite the impression I made on everyone.
    Bette: Don’t worry, I doubt anyone even noticed.
    Tina: Yeah, right. Well, thanks for helping me.
    Bette: Well, I am headed to my class now, can I help you find yours?
    Tina:  Well, heres my schedule I have English lit first with Porter.
    Bette:  Well it looks like we are headed there together.
    As they made there way to the classroom, Tina and Bette talked about where they were from, and got to know each other better.  Tina felt butterflies in her stomach whenever Bette would talk, her long curly brown hair, her caramel comlexion, her beautiful smile.  Tina was so glad to have met Bette, she had made a friend.
    As they entered the classroom, Tina couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
    Bette: “Tina go ahead and find a seat. Alright class, I am Ms. Porter your english 1101 professor.”
    As Tina made her way to the back of the class, she was shocked that her new friend was her new teacher. 
    Bette: “Class pull out your english books to page 13, Susan, please start reading this to the class.
    Bette shot a glance at Tina, and winked and smiled at her warmly.  Tina could feel the tingles all throughout her entire body.
    Bette:”Tina, why don’t you take over from paragraph 3.”
    As Tina began to read, Bette watched her speak, her golden blonde hair she kept pushing behind her ears, her pink lips. Bette knew this was wrong, but she was only 5 years older than the senior class.  There was something about Tina Kennard, that Bette could not put her finger on, but she would soon find out.

    5. Interesting start….Have a good friend that was a high school teacher, got involved with a senior student, somehow word got out. Long story short, she got fired and lost her teaching certificate, for life. Lost her job, her career and the girl…all over a little piece of tail. Bad judgement!
