After the birthing process was completed the new family went to the hospital so Harmony and the baby could be checked out.  They seemed to be ok but Suzanne and Bette thought it best.  While Harmony underwent her check up Bette excused herself to make a quick run and some calls.  As soon as Bette had a free moment she called Kit.

Bette:  “Kit!”

Kit:  “What’s up baby girl?”

Bette:  “It’s a boy!”

Kit:  “It’s a boy?  It’s a boy?  It’s a boy!”

By the third time she got it.

Kit:  “Oh my God Bette I’m so happy!  How did it go?  Did you really do it yourself?”

Bette:  “Well Suzanne was a great help but yeah I did it.”

Kit:  “Ohhh when can I see him?”

Bette:  “Well Harmony and the baby are at the hospital now.”

Kit:   “Hospital?  I thought you did it at home.”

Bette:  “I did but Suzanne thought it best that we bring them in just to make sure everything was on the up and up.”

Kit:  “Oh good.  That’s smart.  So where are you?”

Bette:  “I have to pick something up for Harmony and the new baby.  But could you tell everyone for me and maybe you can all stop by later this evening after Harmony rests for a bit.”

Kit:  “Sure thing.  I can’t wait.”

Bette:  “Ok bye.”

Kit:  “Wait, Bette.”

Bette:  “Yeah?”

Kit:  “Congratulations.”

Bette smiled wildly.

Bette:  “Thanks Kit.”

After an hour Bette returned to the waiting baby and mother.  Harmony sat in a chair in the hospital room staring down at the sleeping child in owe.  She couldn’t believe something so beautiful had come from her.  She was so taken by him she didn’t even notice Bette’s return.

Bette:  “Hey there.”

Harmony smiled brightly up at her wife.

Harmony:  “Hey Doc.”

Bette shook her head.

Harmony:  “I’m calling you that from now on.”

Bette stood beside the chair as Harmony rose and handed her the baby.

Bette:  “Speaking of names what are we calling our beautiful baby boy?”

Harmony:  “I was thinking about that.  I’m so bad with names.  This is a big deal.  This will be his title forever.  The name makes the person in a way.”
