Chapter Fourteen

                Tina snuggled against Bette’s neck as they sat on the huge loveseat that sat in the living room. Bette moaned softly and closed her eyes. Tina left soft kisses on Bette’s skin as they sat and watched an old black and white movie. She sighed and turned her attention to the television.

“Hey, why did you stop?’ Tina smiled as Bette whined.

“I’m sorry babe—I wanted to watch the movie. I’ve never seen it before.”

“Casablanca? It’s a classic T. I could have sworn I’ve showed you this movie before.”

“Well I don’t remember any of it at all. So I would like to watch it.” She cuddled closer to Bette as they sat in each other arms. “Bette?”

“Hmmm?”

“Have you ever thought of wanting more kids?” Bette looked away from the television and looked at Tina.

“Where did this come from?”

“I don’t know—I guess I want more kids. Do you want more kids to add to our family?” Bette sighed and smiled.

“Of course I do, but—,” Bette chewed on her bottom lip.

“But what?”

“I just want to wait until Angelica gets a little older before we actually try on having more kids. Why don’t we want a year or two? Are you okay with that?”

“I’ll wait because I’ll still have you and Angel.” Bette smiled and kissed Tina softly. They pulled away and turned their direction to the television. “I have another question.”

“Yes T,” Tina giggled softly.

“What is this movie about anyway?”

Bette smiled. “It’s about the man Rick who owns the club Casablanca and his ex-lover Ilsa comes back into the picture with her husband who is being chased by the Germans. She begs Rick to give up some letters that he’s been holding so it will allow Ilsa’s husband to escape the club and to continue to fight Fascism.” She looked at Tina. “You don’t look too interested.” She laughed.

Tina shook her head. “N-no, I’m interested. Mmmhmm.” Bette pulled Tina closer to her, and Tina smiled. She kissed Tina on her neck.

“I love you T.”

“I love you more.” Bette kissed her cheek, and they continued to watch the movie.
