CHAPTER 3 – Almost Over You
Tina’s Apartment
Bette walks in to the kitchen and saw Tina standing in front of an open fridge. She went behind the blonde and put her arms around the waist of Tina and whispered “What are we having for tonight?”
Tina turned around and rested her hands on the back of Bette’s neck. “What do you think Best?” then smiled and winked.
“I don’t know Tee. Maybe you can surprise me. I brought a wine as per your request.” Then the brunette kissed the forehead of the blonde and tried to pull herself out of Tina.
But Tina never let her go. Instead the blonde cupped the face of the brunette and slowly planted a kiss to the cheeks, forehead, nose and chin of the brunette. “I love you Bette.” Tina said.
Bette was stunned by her Bestfriend’s gesture. For a moment she almost forgot to breathe.
“I love you too Tee.” Bette replied then she kissed Tina’s forehead again.
“Happy to hear that but I think someone loves you more than me because she cooked your favourite Lasagna this morning.” Tina said then she turned around towards the fridge and pulled out the microwaveable container.
“Mom and Dad visited this morning but they just stayed for awhile and left immediately because they will be meeting an old friend of Dad. However, before they left Mom decided to cook your favourite Lasagna. I teased her that she loves you more than her own daughter but she just laughed.”
“Tee, don’t be jealous. I think Mama just prefers to spoil her charming Bette over her possessive Tina.” Bette laughed out loud.
Tina crossed her arms above her chest “Hmmp! I don’t know what’s with your Porter charm but you really got them wrapped around your fingers.”
“By the way, Tee, you should have called me. I would have left the office to see Mama and Uncle James.”
“As what I have said, they were in a hurry and Dad said that they want to spend a longer time with us and not just have some meet and greet then goodbye session with her favourite girls. So he reminded me that we should make a time to visit them soon.” Tina replied while reheating the Lasagna.

What a mess, trying to move on from the love of your life, who is showing a interest out of jeaulousy or is Tina really in love with her bff? We already know the answer, i hope.
I dont like Mika, treats Bette like a child during breakfast.
About Shane and her advice , i dont know what to think about that.

Wow! I can almost feel Bette’s pain. I know falling in love with our bestfriend is a wonderful thing that can ever happen to us, but at the same time it’s no t a nice feeling to have because we get into such a dilemma. It’s not easy to let them know how we feel especially if we feel that to a “straight” bestfriend and afraid that if you tell her you’ll not only get hurt if you know that she doesn’t feel the same way about you and it will ruin your friendship. One thing I don’t understand though, Bette waited for so long.. for what? for Tina to stop wanting and dating men? waited for Tina to realize that she’s not straight after all and realize that she’s in love with her bff? Maybe we need some clarifications here. Does Bette ever tried to confess her feelings for Tina? How can she let go of her when she doesn’t know how Tina felt about her? The only way she can move on is to know the truth. If Tina doesn’t feel the same, then maybe that’s the the only time to let go.. It would be hard, I know.. but attempting to maintain a friendship with someone whom you feel romantically attracted to will only cause you emotional pain. But of course the feeling is mutual, right? So, I’m excited to read your next update. Thank you so much! Post anytime you can.

I love this story more and more, but for me it still has a few disturbing questions:
Bette was always in love with Tina? I mean, of course, that she was afraid if she admits her feelings, perhaps, she would lose her best friend, if Tina does not feel the same way.
But Bette can not make decisions without necessarily having to tell her the truth.
Mika’s behavior was disturbing to me beyond words. I never liked this kind of possessive behavior in a relationship!
Shane’s advice is so not like her! I was totally surprised!
I hope Bette and Tina talk frankly with each other.

Mika is fighting a losing battle I’m afraid. Bette needs to get the courage to answer Tina’s questions honestly. I think Shane is just trying to get Bette to admit her feelings. Their chemistry is so good soon they will act on their feelings. Bette needs to stop letting Mika control her. PPS
