Working so closely with Kate again had posed more of a problem for Tina than her mere temperamental behavior. As she leaned back into Kate’s touch the short brunette worked her magic fingers to loosen the tense muscles. The blonde knew she was playing with fire by allowing her ex-lover such intimacies when her resistance was low but she concentrated on how good it felt rather than the implications.
Her mind drifted to the time when Francesca was in her final weeks before delivery. How many times had Tina come home to find the expectant mother reclining on a couch with her legs in Bette’s lap while Bette massaged her swollen feet and ankles? How many times had Bette administered massages to Francesca’s lower back and pregnant belly to ease Braxton Hicks contractions or just to soothe Alex when he was being particularly active? Bette touched Francesca intimately all the time without ever giving thought to crossing a line because the touches were not sexual in nature. She was simply doing what was recommended as the birthing coach to make Francesca as comfortable as possible.
Kate on the other hand only ever had sex on the brain. Any opportunity to be in contact with Tina was laden with sexual innuendo and it was getting more prevalent. Tina was jerked out of her trance when she felt Kate’s hand inside the front of her open collared shirt. As if they had a mind of their own her nipples hardened when Kate’s fingers made contact with the swell of her breasts. There was no doubt she’d allowed Kate to cross the boundaries of trust and commitment. Tina couldn’t justify it with any intimacy she might have witnessed between Bette and Francesca during the pregnancy.
Tina stood up almost knocking the shorter woman down when she pushed back the chair from the desk. “Kate what the hell are you doing?” She shouted as she adjusted her blouse. Her anger at Kate was accompanied by cursing her own body for its physiological reaction to the unwelcomed touch.
“I’m just trying to loosen those stubborn knots that have your muscles tied up and tense. Doesn’t that feel better?” Kate asked with all the innocence she could muster.

I have now progressed from wanting to bang their heads together to wanting to smack Bette! Now, having regard to how I usually feel about Bette, this is strange country for me!
One thing certain is that I want to do mischief to Kate! In my mind she always has that awful hat on and I have the mental urge to remove it and smack her …..!
You know BAT I am not usually an aggressive person ..! I look forward, I think, to the next Chapter! Oh and, btw, it’s time Francesca went back to Italy!
Bette just infuriates me sometimes especially when she knows she is wrong. I could shake her till her teeth rattle. Sure hope they can work this out and Bette needs to go ahead and make arrangements to move just as she told Tina she could do. Both of them needs to compromise and Tina needs to make a vomplaint to someone aboutkate and Tina needs to shove her dumb little gum chewing butt against the wall and tell her what for, then throw her out of her office. Doesnt Peggy own this studio? Then hell, someone needs to talk to Peggy about getting the biatch thrown out on her ass. Then maybe our girls can move forward. And, it is way past time for Francesca to return to Italy, enough is enough. Thanks for posting a great chapter.
Hey Bat, what a great chapter. They really need to sit down and talk and not shut each other out. Of course it’s not easy for both of them at the moment with all that is going on and adjusting especially with Bette focusing more on her family live and Tina on furthering her career. But I hope they can work out their problems and find a way to combine both their lives in a way where they are both content and happy without giving up their individual hopes and dreams. As for Bette entering the dance competition with Francesca, personally I say go for it Bette and don’t worry about what others make of it. She should of course talk about it with Tina to make sure Tina really understands her motives clearly. Still don’t like Tina’s way of handling the Kate situation and I hope that when they are talking that she is going to tell Bette what happened and that Kate is making unwanted advances even if it will not go over easy with Bette especially while they are not in a good place in their relationship at the moment. Really looking forward to the next chapter(s).
What amazes me is the fact that Tina has a problem with Francesca (who is straight and is never a threat) but totally dismissive of Kate situation. First, its sexual harassment, second, it feels like Tina is about to give in any minute now.
I guess I just wait for next chapter.
This passive-aggressive behavior between the two women, who were supposed to love each other deeply and are able to communicate with each other. ..
they do completely the opposite.
maybe not as strong their relationship, as believed that if someone take massaging her ex-lover, or a dance competitions, more important such as communication ….
but I agree with SG, Bette head ripe for a hard punch!
Communication is always the issue between them. I hope they will work it out. They need to really listen to each other.
Kate, i didn’t like her in the show and i certainly don’t like her now, Tina is giving her to much power over her and it can’t end well, she is a snake.
I would love to see Bette and Francesca dance, it will be hot.
Kit is right about what she said to Bette and i hope Bette will think deeply about it and react more adult than acting like a spoiled child.

I still say both of them are acting like idiots. Both are wrong and need to sit down an talk. Kate and the Italian bombshell need to disappear.

Great chapter. They are both so passive-aggressive. Tina really needs to kick Kate to the curb b/c she is crossing the line. Kate is the type of person who will never listen to reason and thinks she is God’s gift to humanity. Bette needs to make this dance competition the last physical contact w/Francesca if she wants to remain in a relationship w/Tina. Francesca is emotionally involved w/Bette. It’s as if Bette is the surrogate for Marcus. She’s beautiful, educated, passionate and financially stable. Perfect for Francesca except that Bette is a woman. But one falls in love w/the person not the gender.
Phew! Tina done well in halting the
advancement of Kate bitch.
I liked the kit conversation with Bette, someone
has to give.
Let’s see what will happen to
this talk we both have.
