Bette finally decided to let Tina in on what was in her heart. “I wanted to wish you sweet dreams Tee…after having heard your angelic voice before I fall to sleep; I know that will happen for me.”
Tina was not sure how to respond…her mouth was very dry and frankly she didn’t know if she could respond. She finally managed to speak, “Sweet dreams.”
In the comfort of their respective beds, Bette and Tina eventually drifted off to sleep and sweet dreams were found. More poignantly, they each awakened to the late Sunday morning sun and reality of being in love had begun…
In the Porter residence, Bette was lying in bed with an incredibly gigantic smile on her face. She had been dreaming the sweetest dreams involving none other than Tina Kennard. Now in a half awake state, Bette had a reel of their date’s highlights playing in her mind. The phone rang and Bette let out a sigh at the distraction from her thoughts.
“Tee?” Bette meant to say ‘hello’ and hadn’t realized she spoke the name of the woman consuming her thoughts.
It did not take long for Bette to realize her mistake as she listened to the response. “Tea? Black coffee is more like it!” Alice huffed. “Are you still in bed, Porter?”
Bette rubs the sleep out of her eyes and greets her friend grumpily in that Seinfeld greeting Newman kind of way. “Hello, Alice.”
“Well good fucking morning, sunshine!”
“Not so loud,” Bette answers softly, feeling a dull throbbing in her head.
Alice whispers back, “Oh…I gotcha. Don’t want to wake the hot blonde next to ya?”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“Jesus how drunk are you! You don’t even remember sleeping with her!”
“No I don’t…” Bette began.
“Player Porter in action!” Alice held her fist in the air and gave it a victory pump.
“I don’t remember sleeping with her because I haven’t, you ass.”
“What?” Alice asked shocked.
“I thought you and Blondie had your date last night.”
“We did.”
“And she’s not with you now? What the fuck did you do…drag her to Fat Burger and call it a night? You must be losing your touch, Porter.”

Sweetie, you’re a bit on the obsessed side with this whole gouda thing…not that I care, mind you – just pointing out the obvious. Oh my roomie – I always have a big smile on my face when I see that you’ve posted cause i know it’ll be a great update – and you’ve done it again (no disappointment here:D) with the humour and the sweetness and slow romance. Adorable thank you! I agree with you IC should have read the fanfic when she was writing the show but she just thought that she knew better then anyone else. I mean for her to say that Season 6 will wrap up some story lines – hello! what story lines where wrapped up – none none! Sigh (sorry!) Just get so irritated cause it could have ended so much better instead of leaving a bad taste in our mouths (ok I’ll get off my soapbox now…LOL) Sorry roomie. happy to see BnT not glaring at one another and trying to talk for crying out loud!
