“No, just that he wanted to see you. You aren’t scared are you?” She said.

“No, well I wasn’t until everything that happened today happened.” She said.

“Don’t be. He probably just wants to make sure you aren’t going to hurt me. You aren’t are you?” Gillian asked.

“No. It tore me up today knowing that I had hurt you this morning.” Skylar said.

“Promise?” Gillian asked.

“Come here.” Skylar motioned for Gillian to move closer to her. Gillian did. She sat down in front of her. Skylar wrapped her arms around Gillian.

“I can’t promise that nothing is ever going to happen. I can promise that I will do everything within my power to try to keep it from happening.” Skylar said.

“I guess that’s all I can ask.” Gillian said. She felt so safe in Skylar’s arms.

“Do you believe me?” Skylar asked. Gillian turned her head and looked at her.

“I do.” She said.

Skylar leaned in slowly. Gillian closed her eyes and moved towards Skylar. Their lips touched sending sparks of energy through both of them. Their lips slowly parted. Skylar’s tongue begged for permission to roam free. Gillian allowed it. The kiss grew deeper, and more passionate. The pulled apart at the sound of Gillian’s phone ringing.

“I think you better answer that.” Skylar said.

“It’s just my mom.” Gillian said, recognizing the ring tone.

“Gill, answer your phone please. It may be important.” Skylar said.

“Fine.” She said and pulled the phone out of her pocket.

“I swear if she doesn’t answer I’m going to kill her.” Tina said.

“Just breath honey, if she is over there doing something. Just remember what you said yesterday about letting her go, about letting her trying for true love.” Bette said. Tina took a deep breathe.

“Okay, you’re right, me yelling and threatening things aren’t going to get us any where.” Tina said.

“Hello.” Gillian answered.

“Hey baby, are you okay?” Tina asked.

“Yeah Mom I’m fine. We’re just talking things out and then I’m going back to Daddy’s.” Gillian said already knowing the next question.

“Okay, I guess as long as you are okay. I want you to call tomorrow so we can talk.” Tina said.

“Okay, I will.” Gillian said.

“Iss that the Gillly Beann?” Alice managed to get out in between hiccups.

“Yes Alice it is.” Bette said.

“Can I talk to her? There is something I’d like to tell her.” She said.

“Gillian Alice wants to talk to you about something.” Tina said.

“Um Sure.” Gillian said. Tina handed the phone to Alice.

“Gilly?” She asked.

“Yeah Alice what is it?” Gillian asked running out of patience.

“I just want you to know (hiccup) that I feel sorry for you (hiccup) and you are welcome to stay at my (hiccup) place anytime your moms feel it necessary to go at it like rabbits” Alice said.

“Al, you’re drunk and if I did that I’d be over at your house almost every night, but don’t worry I’ve some where else to stay after Christmas.” Gillian said.

“Okay then.” Alice said and hung up.

“What did you do that for?” Tina asked.

“Do what?” Alice said walking towards the door.

“Well what did she stay?” Tina asked.

“That she had some where else to stay.” Alice said stumbling out the house.

“Some where else to stay.” Tina mumbled realizing what she meant and then saw red.
