A Single Mom Meets Someone New! Ch 24

    Chapter 24

Gillian sat down on her bed. She pulled her cell out of the drawer of the bedside table.

"14 missed calls, and . . . . 8 voice mails. 3 guesses as to who they are from." Gillian said.

"Did she say anything?" Helena asked coming out of the bathroom in her PJ’s.

"No. She’s out for the count." Gillian said.

"I’ve been there. She’s going to regret in the morning and all day tomorrow." Helena said getting in her bed.

"I don’t understand it. They love each other." Gillian said.

"They may, but you don’t know what happened tonight. Tina may have learned something about Bette that she didn’t like." Helena said. Gillian rolled her eyes.

"Like what?" She said with attitude.

    "Who knows?" Helena said.

    "Helena." Peggy said.

    "What?" Helena said.

"You don’t know Bette." She said.

"No I don’t but I was just stating a possibility." Helena said.

"Gillian, don’t listen to her. You are right they do love each other. They have both said so." Peggy said sitting next to Gillian.

"Then I have to fix it." She said.

"And how are you planning to do that my darling?" Peggy asked.

"I don’t know. First, I have to find out what happened. I have to find Bette. The hotel." Gillian said.

"She’s not there. She checked out." Peggy said.

"She went home to LA." Gillian said.

"I didn’t say that." Peggy said.

"Mummy, you are being obviously vague." Helena said.

"So." Peggy said. Helena rolled her eyes and put her headphones in but didn’t turn it on. "Why don’t you let them sleep on it and worry about it tomorrow." Peggy said.

    "Okay, I guess." Gillian said.

"That’s good. Try and get sleep." Peggy said walking to the door.

"I will. Goodnight." Gillian said pulling her PJ’s out of her the closet.

"Goodnight dear. Goodnight Helena." Peggy said to Helena who was pretending to groove to her music.

"Goodnight Mummy." She said making Gillian and Peggy smile. Peggy closed the door.

Gillian changed clothes and checked on Tina one more time before getting into bed. She cut the light off and laid down. She put her hands behind her head and stared at the ceiling. She watched the shadows from the big tree out side blowing in the wind dance across the ceiling. They seemed to be playing out a scene of a tragedy. Chasing each other across the white background only to get touched which seemed to stun them for a split second and then causing them to run the other way. Gillian closed her eyes and tried to shut the evening out of head. Her phone vibrated. It was Bette. She it ignore. She looked at the clock, 5:15.

    1. Oh man, i really dont like cliffhangers. Bette needs to just follow Gillian back to her dads house and confront Tina, and tell her the truth. I love this story and cant get enough of it so PPS.

    2. With these 2 women Bette is gonna have to start answering like she is on Family Feud (quick and to the point) cause they expect a answer right then and there…it seems you can’t get your thoughts together and then answer. Are they just gonna give up on Bette? You HAVE to post real soon.

    3. i hope that Bette find the strong to tell the same to Tina and she needs show Tina that she is more than ready to live with her. Please Bette thinks! an run to Peabody’s home

    4. So it is not a matter of loving Tina or Gillian but a fear of opening the heart up totally. Then add the factor that Bette herself has never put herself out like she has with Tina and Gillian. They have to work this out.

    5. Oh god, this is heartbreaking :( Thats so understandable for Gil to run, but Bette needs to see she has to fight, and try and make Tina see she made a mistake and was just shocked! Lovely chapter, but dont leave us hanging too long!!!

    6. If Bette doesn’t go after Gillian and talk to Tina and her, I might have to jump into my computer, pull her by the ear and drag her butt down the stree to the house myself. Geez, Bette where is your Alpha dog? PPS :o)

    7. WOW! I hope they don’t give up on Bette. Gillian & Tina have to give her a chance to sort out all her feelings. I was sad that she told Gillian she loved her and Gillian went off running. Charmed430, you need to fix all these high emotions with these ladies…I hate to see them all hurting. PPS & longer….please?
