“I don’t know. We haven’t got a chance to really talk” Bette dryly said, “Who cares babe, she can go to hell. How was lunch?” Bette asked again.
“It was great, Dana’s really nice.” Tina said Candace still on her mind.
“I’m glad.” Bette smiled. “Talked about me?” She teased, “Told her how good I am?”
“No” Tina laughed. “Imagine it or not your name didn’t come up.”
“So she complained about Al, ha?” Bette smiled.
“No, we do have other stuff to talk about.”
“No! Other than me?” Bette said shocked.
“God is there any room in your office with all that ego?” Tina dryly said.
“Now, my child, there’s plenty of room. Actually… I think you can squeeze in too.” Bette smiled. “You really need to stop with the god complex”
Tina laughed, “You’re an idiot.”
“One minute I’m god, the next I’m an idiot… how the mighty have fallen.” Bette dramatically said.
“I’m guessing you’re the mighty” Tina dryly said.
“Of course!!”
“When are you going to be home?” Tina suddenly asked.
“Are you trying to seduce me?” Bette smiled, “Making me come home early so I’ll… come?” She suggestively said.
“You are a horn dog” Tina smiled. “I’m just asking…”
“Well I’m just saying, I’m on my way home… you know for common knowledge.” Bette smiled.
“So early?”
“I was a busy bee today, so I could get home. To an empty house.” Bette smiled.
“The house is not empty” Tina smiled.
“It’s not??” Bette said getting excited.
“Of course not, Alfred’s there, and… you know…”
“Bertha?” Bette smiled.
“I was going to say the chef but yes Bertha will be there.”
“What about the sexy blonde?”
“She will be home in about two hours.”
Bette sighed, “I guess Bertha will have to do.”
“You’re not going to wait for me?”
“Nop, I’m going to Bertha, she’s always there for me.” Bette smiled.
“And I’m not?”
“Are you going to be home in ten minutes?”
“No…”
“Then Bertha will have to do.” Bette laughed.

I love Bette’s dry humor, and the banter between B&T. Great story!!!BTW, I am glad that Bette threw Candice out, whew. I hope that Bette and Tina’s relationship continues to grow and thrive, and hopefully, Tina’s mom will grow up and leave Tina alone.
I was just thinking that it was probably time for Candace to show up. I am glad that Bette kicked her out and I hope that she was very embrassed. It’s great that Tina is starting to develop other heathy freiendships besides Bette. PPS :o).
