    Chapter 45

    "Hi…thank you for coming" Jenny said as she kissed Helena’s cheek. Helena handed Jenny the beautifully wrapped gift, giving the woman a small hug before entering her apartment. She followed Jenny into the living room where Bette, Tina, Shane, Carmen, Lara, Kit, Nylan, Keith and Keira, her new roomate were seated. Jenny placed the gift on the table where the other presents and handed Helena a glass of champagne.

    "Nice to see you again Helena" Bette replied raising her glass in Helena’s direction.

    "You have a beautiful home girls" Helena commented.

    "Thanks" Jenny and Keira both answered and they laughed at their twinlike abilities. Keira had gotten the place a month ago and felt lonely so she decided to ask Jenny to move in…Jenny thought about and decided her house was becoming a little crowded. She moved in with Keira a few weeks later and it has been a match made in heaven ever since. Their friends had decided to throw them a housewarming party…it was Alice’s idea and she was thirty minutes late already.

    "Where is Alice and Dana" Tina asked.

    "I don’t know I called em’ like 15 minutes ago…Al said they were almost here…" Shane said closing her cell phone.

    "The party can begin I’m here now" Alice yelled bursting through the door with a dramatic flair, Dana following closely behind, "Hello darlings" Alice said hugging and kissing both Jenny and Keira. Dana hesistated before hugging the girls but did so not wanting to draw attention to her or Keira.

    After dinner Jenny and Helena stepped outside on the balcony to talk privately while everyone else broke off into separate groups.

    "Its really beautiful out here" Jenny smiled up at Helena after she made the comment,"I don’t know how I’m going to pay for my half of the rent…" she sighed.

    "You know Jenny…maybe you should write some scripts…just until a book deal comes through…we could work something out I’m sure" Helena said.

    "Helena…I don’t know" Jenny whined and Helena stepped a little closer.

    "Jenny just think about it…" Helena looked deeply into Jenny’s eyes, cupping her face gently and moving in for a small, slow kiss…just enough to show Jenny she was interested. Helena had hung back and put her feelings on hold until the time was right and she felt as though now the time was right.

    3. First time reading this fanfic as well. Is Bette crazy! She can’t possibly be thinking strait if she is discussing Candace working for her with Tina. Post soon I need to read more.
