A Dylena Story
Kit, being closer to the door of our office, was ahead of me as we reach the dining area. From behind her, I see exactly what Susie is so concerned about. My best friend shoving the woman I love.
“Oh, hell no. This isn’t going to happen here.” I hear Kit whisper through gritted teeth as she hastens her pace in front of me. I, however, am frozen in my spot on the floor. Dylan is here. She didn’t call me back but she’s here. And, Alice just shoved her! What the hell is going on?
The look on Dylan’s face is something I’ve never seen before as I hear her theatenlingly state “I said, Don’t Touch Me”. Her body is so tense. They may actually physically fight. Alice, my best friend and Dylan, the love of my life are ready to come to blows. I hate this. What are they doing?
The two of them are acting like children on a playground fighting over who gets the last swing available. And, that swing is me. I quicken my pace, following Kit. I need to put an end to this childish bickering before it turns into something more. I feel like a parent needing to stop two spoilt siblings from fighting over a toy. I am becoming more than annoyed at both of them right now. I love them both, but at the same time, I can’t stand either of them right now.
Shane’s doing her best, holding Dylan back now, but it’s not enough for me. They both need a time out and maybe a lashing as far as I’m concerned. My mind is going in circles, I’m so annoyed and infuriated with both of them.
I see Dylan’s mouth moving but I’m not listening to her. They both need to just stop this. I’ve had it with both of them. Kit suddenly stops in front of me, bumping into her I’m shaken from my thoughts of paddling them both.
“I know enough about your kind to know that you’re a master at manipulating the weak-hearted. Helena has no control over her own brain when you’re around, let alone her heart. I’ll be damned if I’m going to let Helena ruin her life again, because she’s foolish enough, when it comes to you, to do just that.”
Kit stopped dead in her tracks, turns to me. She saying something but I don’t hear her. All I hear are Alice’s words. Alice words are slowly seeping into my ears, traveling through my brain, following my bodies internal path down to my heart. The words, FOOLISH AND WEAK, pierce my heart like a bullet fired from the gun of an enemy I thought was a friend.
That’s what she thinks of me. My friend, Alice, the person I thought of as my best friend, thinks so little of me. I used to think the worst pain I could ever feel was being hurt by Dylan all those years ago, but this pain I’m feeling right now is harsher and cuts more deeply to my core than any pain Dylan ever caused me.
“Foolish! That’s what you think of me! That I’m a fool and weak! GO TO BLOODY HELL ALICE!”

Oh no, Alice has gone and done it again speak before she thinks about the consequences. Great update! Can’t wait for more.
Kidding me, huh? Bad girl, bad girl.LOL!!!! Great for Helena to tell Alice to buzz off. Alice does need to think before speaking but never does, the girl has no filter, nor common sense. Thanks for the update.
