    Bette tells her mother.

    Chapter 8

     

    The next day:

    Tina wakes up and walks into the kitchen and put on some coffee. She starts up her computer. She still had some photos to send to different clients. She makes a couple of sandwiches. She starts with the photos, but her mind keep trailing off to one Bette Porter 2 floors up.

     

    Bette is also just waking up. She lay in bed for few minutes thinking about the previous days. Could this be the real deal? Is this who she is? She thinks to herself.

    She makes her way out of the bed and get dressed and then walk into the kitchen to make breakfast, which is just some cereal. Easy to make for an inexperienced cook.

     

    Later at the hospital:

    Bette gets out of the cab and walks inside. She let the lady in the reception know shes there then takes a seat. As she sits down she get a text message. She opens her phone.

    Hi, I just wanted to wish you good luck, Ill be thinking about you. Tina ;)

    Bette smiles and replies.

    Hi, thank you, Im thinking about you too. Bette

    She sends her reply and then the doctor comes out. She turns off her cell phone.

    Hi, Ms. Porter how is your leg doing? Dr. Matthews asks.

    It hurts from time to time, but Ill live. Bette replies and smiles.

    Yeah, well lets see how it is healing. You can take off you pants and then take a seat over there. Dr. Matthews says and points over at the bed. Ill be right back with the equipments.

    Bette does what he said and takes a seat. And waits.

     

    After the cast was off she was brought to x-ray to se if the fracture had healed properly. And then she was asked to wait in the waiting area. He would come out with the results.

    She takes a seat and turns on her cell phone again. And in pops a text message.

    Ill be home all day, so if you need anything, let me know.

    Bette smiles. And then the doctor comes in. Bette stands up.

    So? Bette asks.

    Well, your leg is healing very well actually, Ive set up physiotherapy for you, and all you have to do is go down there and set out a schedule. Which time is best for you, and you dont have to come back here for at least a couple of months. I believe you will recover almost fully. Dr. Matthews says and smiles.

    6. What a nice present you gave me at the end of the work day. It put a smile of my face for the drive home. I wonder, what the other drivers will think about my big smile and unattentiveness….hey, I can’t help it if my mind wonders…it’s all B&T fault. LOL!
