Chapter 72
They arrive at the hospital 20 minutes later. Today they got right in.
“Tina, Bette, hi how are you today?” Darren asks.
“I’m good.” Tina says.
“Good, shall we start?” He asks.
Bette lifts Tina up onto the bench and helps her take the jeans off.
He starts massaging and like yesterday Bette held her hand.
45 minutes later they are done.
“You didn’t feel anything?” He asks.
“No.” Tina replies right away.
“If she does feel something, like say tonight, what should we do?” Bette asks.
“Nothing, maybe massaging a little before going to bed and then right away when you wake up, and then tell me when you get back tomorrow and I’ll do some tests.” He says.
“Okay thanks.” Bette says and smiles.
She pushes Tina out of his office and out of the hospital.
“So no I want to see the house.” Tina says all excited.
“We’re on our way there now.” Bette replies with a smile on her face from the excitement in Tina. She takes out her cell phone.
“Who are you calling?” Tina asks curiously.
“Just the agent, she has to come with the keys.” Bette says as she dials.
Pause.
“Hi, it’s Bette Porter, we spoke last week yeah Do you have time now?” Bette asks as she waits for an answer.
“I’m actually on my way as we speak.” Bette replies. “Great, I’ll see you in 10.” Bette adds and hangs up.
Tina looks over at Bette for a moment.
“Can I ask how much the price is?” Tina asks.
“600.000 dollars.” Bette replies.
“Wow, that’s a lot.” Tina says.
“It’s not that much for a house of this size and in this area. In comparison, I bought the beach house for 5 million 4 years ago.” Bette says.
“Wow, I saved like a crazy person for my apartment and that cost 150.000 dollars.” Tina says.
“I’m selling the apartment, mine that is on the 4th floor. I should be able to get a good price for it. We could probably pay some of the house with that.” Bette says.
“I want to contribute too. I’m selling mine too.” Tina says and looks over at Bette.
“Baby, you have a loan, you should pay that down. And as I have said many times before, my money is your money, okay?” Bette says and glancing over at Tina.

oh my.. that was great..baby steps for a full recovery im so happy and Tina did right about not been all excited and then sad..she must have faith and wait for the best..i think Tina should sigh those papers too she is the owner just like Bette and they will be married soon..by the way they dont talk about the wedding anymore…ok i know i have to wait no rush the writer..lol..but i hope see Tina walking in no time and plaining kids..lol..great chapter Lauren thanks :o)
Well, well, being as late as Alice’s rabbitt again at least gave me the delightful opportunity to read three chapters without interruption – that’s really great !
Sooo… our Tina felt something ??? Oh god ! Finally a ray of sunshine !! What a marvel…
And that happening at the same time our lovebirds discovered their future house sounds like a beautiful destiny’s wink : a kind of reward for having kept a positive attitude and optimism enough to want a new home together, even if Tina had to stay paralysed.
Was it Bette’s kind of premonition when she just said, few moments ago, those so marvellous words to her T : “we’re walking the rest of the way” ?? WE are walking : I love that…
All along the last chapters, their amazing chemistry was going stronger than ever, so close of each other facing the situation, crossing the same road through drama… It’s such a beautiful thing you depict for us, Lauren, as well as a great lesson of hope and courage. Thank you for that too !
Tina felt something…how great was that, especially, since it was Bette’s touch. That was very sweet. I really liked that Tina loved the house…they finally have a home for them to share and plan a long future. ;-) Thanks Lauren for the post.
