    Loving and talking.

    “I won’t. I have to go to the bathroom.” Bette says and starts to get up. Tina helps her hold the balance.

    “Can you manage, or do you need my help?” Tina asks.

    “No, I’m okay.” Bette says and walks slowly and feeling her way towards the bathroom. Tina watches her and can’t help but start to cry. She sit down in the sofa and hide her face in her hands. She’s having a little breakdown. She pulls it together when she hears the bathroom door open and Bette walks out. She quickly dries her tears and starts cleaning up after last night. Bette walks right into the bedroom and tries her best to get dressed. She sighs and takes a seat on the bed.

    “God damn, I hate this.” Bette says out loud.

    Tina stops what she’s doing and walks into the bedroom and find Bette sitting on the bed. Tears are streaming, but she’s not crying.

    “Babe.” Tina says after watching her from the doorway for a few seconds.

    “Why all this now?” Tina asks, taking a seat beside her and her arm around her.

    “I just… Last night was wonderful, but I kind of woke up in reality this morning. I might not see again. See your body, your beautiful body again.” Bette says.

    “You will see me again. Bette please stay positive. I know it’s hard. Remember when I was in the wheelchair. I was close to giving up a few times, but you kept me going. Now it’s my turn. And I know you will see again. Okay?” Tina says. “Come on, let’s get dressed and get our babies.” Tina says and gets up and find some clothes for Bette. “Here you go. You want any help?” Tina asks as she give Bette the clothes.

    “I’ll manage.” Bette says.

    “Bette, there’s no shame in asking for help. I’ll be more than happy to help you.” Tina says and softly strokes Bette’s arm.

    “Okay. But I think I can manage getting dressed today.” Bette says and gives Tina a little smile.

    “Okay.” Tina says and leans in and kisses Bette softly on the lips.

    Tina grabs some clothes too and gets dressed. A pair of jeans and a white tank top. Bette dressed in jeans and a black tee. They’re done and walk out to the kitchen.

    2. Thanks for returning. I have missed this story. Please let Bette have her sight back. I agree with Lamentamini they really needed to reconnect physically and emotionally they have been thru way too much.

    6. Thanks for the update. Please, let Bette get her sight back ? They just started reconnecting emotionally & physically, I think it would be hard on their relationship if she ends up losing her sight.

    8. Nice chapter Lauren, thanks for the continuation of this story. I agree with everyone thatr they REALLY needed this reconnection and the kids were sooooo cute in the tube. PLEASE let Bette get her sight back, she and her family have suffered so much already. Please have pity on them and us :o)

    16. Glad you’re back. The kids playing in the bubbles is just darling. I’m Bette and Tina were able to reconnect and i just hope Bette gets her sight back soon.
