“This is great baby, I knew you would see again.” Tina says and leans in and kisses Bette softly on the lips. Dr. Garrison walks back in. He sees them kissing. He smiles.
“Doctor, she can see.” Tina says.
“Really?” He asks.
“I can make out the colours, it’s all a blur, not complete shapes, but…” Bette says.
“Well, it’s a start. I suggest you co without the bandages. Only wear the sunglasses, to shield the eyes from too much light.” He says.
“Yeah, I will.” Bette replies.
Several hours later.
Julia and Jessie are on their way over to Bette and Tina for a small BBQ. They have Will and Matt with them.
“Aunt Bette can’t see?” William asks.
“No, not right now. But we hope she’ll get her sight back soon.” Jessie says.
They pull into Bette and Tina’s driveway. Will and Matt is first to the door. They knock. Tina opens it.
“Hi aunt Tina.” Will says and smiles.
“Hey Will, good to see you.” Tina says and give him a hug and then she gives Matt a hug. “Good to see you too Matt. “ Tina says and smiles.
“Hi aunt Tina.” Matt says.
“Go on out to the pool. Bette’s already out there.” Tina says and steps outside to greet Jessie and Julia.
“Hey Tina.” Jessie says as they walks towards the door.
“Hey guys, come on in.” Tina says.
They walk in and out the other side.
“Hey mom.” Julia says and walks over to her and give her a hug.
“Hey, honey. Oh you’re wearing blue.” Bette says and smiles widely.
“Yeah… Hey, can you see me?” Julia asks surprised.
“I can make out the colours. The shapes are still a but blurry.” Bette says.
“Oh mom, that’s great.” Julia says and give her another hug.
Guys the food are ready.” Tina says. Julia, would you grab Andrea?” Tina asks.
“Sure. Come here Angel.” Julia says and reach out her arms and Andrea runs into them. “Here there little princess. Missed me?” Julia asks.
“Yes.” Andrea replies and give Julia a really wet kiss on her cheek.
“Thank you.” Julia says and has to wipe a lot of drool off. It makes Jessie chuckle.
They are all seated and Jessie and Julia exchange looks. And Jessie nods.
“Guys?” Julia says and it get everyone’s attention.
“Yeah?” Tina says.
“We’re pregnant.” Julia says.
Bette smiles and takes Tina’s hand in her under the table.
“You are?” Tina asks with a big smile on her face.
“Yeah, we are.” Jessie says and holds on to Julia’s hand and softly squeezes it.
“I’m so happy for you.” Bette says. “I’ll give you both a hug later after dinner. It will be to much right now.” She adds.
“Sure.” Julia says.
“It’s great guys. I’m really happy for you too.” Tina says and smiles.
“Are we gonna be uncles?” William asks.
“Yes you are. Isn’t it cool? You will be the cool uncles.” Jessie says.
“Cool.” William says.

Glad that Bette is starting to see again, and I am happy for Julia and Jessie.
Good story! Please let this be it for the medical drama…save that for the discovery health channel…lol
B & T haven’t made love/ have sex, since the accident and especially since Tina was flirting with the intern. They need to reconnect on that level, show each other they really do love each other and only desire each other. Sometimes talking is not enuff and neither is total tender loving. just my opinion.
great that Bette is recovering her sight! and she and Tina will be granmothers! i thinks that so happy times is near!
Making out colors is a start. Even if that was the best Bette’s eyes could get it’s better than nothing and she could always wear glasses. Many well wishes for Jessie and Julia and their unborn child. :) And Van has a point. B&T should have some alone time to reconnect. It can’t be too easy to find the time with 3 small kids at home.
I with Van. They need some down time together. Not a house full of kids nor anyone else. Just two people that needs to show their love to each other. thanks
Happy dance that Bette’s making out colours. Hopefully, her eyesight will return to normal. Wondering what long term effects the accident has on Bette’s arm, though. Great update.
Hey Lauren – this is a great story, and remember you’re the writer, so you decide and after all it’s only fanfic, so we should have fun….With that said I can understand that some people said WTF??, because it was really a BIIIIG surprise, Tina flirting with a man. I agree with Van’s comment to this post, B&T need to reconnect physical, some alone time and a hot NC-17 :o)) Post soon please on both stories, they’re great.

Hey Lauren, I admire the way that you have kept this story real. Bette is slowly recovering and regaining her sight. It has not been a blind one chapter then Bam! eyesight return the next.
