    Chapter 13

     

    Bette jumps up and looks at Tinas teary eyes. She wipes away her own tears.

    Im sorry. Bette says. I told him to go, and then he just kissed me, he surprised me Tina. Bette says.

    Who was he? Tina asks softly.

    My ex-husband Gregg. Bette says.

    I thought he was married. Tina says and looks at Bette.

    Jill apparently left him. Bette says. Tina Im so sorry you had to see it, but believe me, I do not want anyone else than you. This situation made me open my eyes to what I really feel for you. Bette says. I dont want to loose it. Bette continues.

    I heard you Bette. I heard his question and your answer. Tina says and wipes away her tears. Bette looks down on the floor a little shy.

    Tina takes Bettes hand and pulls her close. The tears start to fall again. She softly places a kiss on Bettes lips. And then looks into her eyes.

    I love you too Bette. I have from the moment I saw you for the first time. Tina cries. Bette put her arms on Tinas shoulder and pulls her into a hug. The hug lasts several minutes.

    Finally Bette breaks away.

    Look, let me just get up and freshen up a bit, then Ill come back down, and well have that dinner. Okay? She asks and smiles.

    Yeah, Id like that. Ill warm it up in the meantime. Tina says.

    Bette leans in and kisses Tina softly on the lips before she takes the elevator up.

     

    Tina takes the food into the kitchen and places it on plates and put it in the microwave to heat it up. She sits down by the kitchen table, head in her hands.

    Was it too soon to tell? Will it scare her away? No it wont she told me first. She thinks to herself. After a little while Bette knock on the door.

    Its open. Tina shouts from the kitchen. Bette walks in. Tina is still seated by the table. Bette takes a seat next to her. She sees that something is bothering Tina.

    Tina, is everything okay? Bette asks putting her hand on her shoulder and softly rubs it.

    Yeah, fine Its just that Im a little scared. Tina admits and looks into Bettes eyes.
